Had it delivered today and absolutely love it:

Attachment 41076

Got it on a ridiculously cheap 2 year lease with a free upgrade to include the onstar package. It goes like stink and my first hot hatch at the age of 42 :D

scoobyboy1 27 October 2015 11:50 PM

Nice VXR, love the Recaro CS seats in these!!:luvlove:

How cheap did you get it on lease?? I saw Vauxhall was doing them for £169 down and £169 a month over 2 years:eek:

S204Darren 28 October 2015 12:30 AM

Fair play mate

An0n0m0us 28 October 2015 12:38 AM

Cheers, i'm very pleased with it as it's my first ever brand new car.

I got partner discount so £150 a month for 2 years plus I paid an extra £20 a month for the 18" wheels so £170 a month with no deposit (a 1+23 lease). At that price it's an absolute steal

I could have bought the bloody thing for an extra £100 a month but over 5 years 0% interest free but as the warranty has dropped from lifetime to only 3 years now I decided against it and went with the lease. When they dropped it off today they said they would be in touch before the deal expires with any new lease deals available or even possibly an option to buy it so will see in 2 years!

And yes the seats are damn comfy!

lordharding 28 October 2015 01:25 AM

That's a fantastic looking car for £170 per month lease and also five years interest credit is a good deal
Lovely unsusual colour and it will fly too
Wheels look amazing
I've seen one like this last week in town and really turned heads

You won't get many positive comments as its a hardcore Subaru forum here but many of us old school members have gone to other marques
I love my juke and civic EXGt and still have the Greenwagon

piehole1983 28 October 2015 01:34 AM

Love it! It's actually tempting me to go for a look myself, I get partner discount too. Always had a notion for the Insignia VXR. I have the latest model Insignia for my company car and I think it's great! Much more refined than the first model.

8ulldog 28 October 2015 08:10 AM

Great deal and nice car. Who did you do that through?

Tidgy 28 October 2015 09:09 AM

hmmm, now summit like that is tempting. what milage is allowed?

An0n0m0us 28 October 2015 09:48 AM

Thanks for the comments wasn't sure it would get much notice on here. 203bhp only 5 short of my original classic scoob is quite good fun in something so small.

The mileage is 5k per annum but the ppm is cheap too so happy to pay it as I will do more than the 5k. There are higher allowances available but the cost wasn't discounted over the ppm so I wanted to pay for what I use and not pay a higher amount upfront and possibly not use it all.

I got mine through Astons Vauxhall in Melton Mobray and their service has been excellent, really impressed with them. They delivered the car to me on a trailer with only 9 delivery miles. The initial rush of orders are tapering off so new orders should come through much quicker now from my chat with them yesterday.

The onstar technology is fantastic and the kids love having wifi built into the car.

Traitors !!!' Lol :lol1::nono::lol1:

Peedee 28 October 2015 10:40 AM

Nice!!!

I've owned 2 corsa VXR's, a standard 07 and a 12 plate Nurburgring in green (the best color). Have they sorted out the gearbox / diff issues in these new ones? I'm assuming it's a completely new engine / drivetrain though??

The recaros in these are still the best seats I've ever sat in aswell.

More pics too!!

coupe_20vt 28 October 2015 02:23 PM

£510 deposit and £169.99pm here -

http://www.astonvauxhall.co.uk/new-c...personal-lease

Tidgy 28 October 2015 02:29 PM

12k a year milage say, so 12k - 5k = 7,000 x 6.64p = £465 a year extra = £40 a month

so at £169.99 (say £170) = £210 a month

Think I'd rather save for a couple of years and buy a 2nd hand one!

depends on situation, a ne wone will have full warrenty so only thing you'll need to replace are tyres, brakes and clutch. So drive it with some care and you wont need any of them over the two years anyway.

No idea about the engine/gearbox as this is my first VXR but there is a fair whack of torque steer when pushing on. The seats are glorious though.

I test drove the Nurburgring edition in green whilst waiting for mine and i'd still have that now if I could as I just love the whole shape/look of that car but it was up for £13k with 16k miles and I could have bought mine for £16.5k with partner discount so was never an option. The interior/toys on mine have probably ruined the Nurburgring edition for me as a future car as it will seem dated in comparison.

I'll get some more pics up when I can i'm too busy out driving it at the moment :D

That's no where near as good a deal as I got. I'm sure some of the leasing sites have better than that still with no deposit. You got to be looking for the 1+23 deals not 3 or 6 + 23 deals.

jameswrx 28 October 2015 09:01 PM

Have they sorted the reliability of them out compared to the previous ones? Not really heard much good about the Corsa VXR to be honest, but then I don't know about these latest ones.

Must be nice to have a brand new car though!

Corsa isn't really my thing, bit too small and girly for my liking. Or are you female lol?

Shaun 28 October 2015 09:19 PM

Nice car and bloody good value at that price.

Cheers, that's what swung it for me, what else could I get brand new that is 200bhp+ for a basic £149 a month and no deposit. Whilst it won't win any awards in a straight line blast down a motorway on A/B roads it's fantastic fun.

I'll be watching the forum with interest to see what mods people do and what power they take them up to.

I know. I was just pointing out how expensive some deals are compared to the one you got :thumb:

stilover 29 October 2015 06:32 PM

Never really been keen of vauxpoo's, but that does look quite nice. The seats do look very appealing.

Did you not look at the Fiesta ST with Mountune upgrade?

No worries :thumb: Still good though compared to the normal price i've seen of about £355 per month and 3 months up front!

Yeah I had a Cavalier once and said never again to Vauxhalls :lol1: But this was just too good to turn down.

I didn't look at the Fiestas as they just weren't comparable on price even for a standard one let alone the Mountune version.

It seems I should have gone with the performance pack to eradicate the torque steer as that adds an LSD to the car but bumps the price up a fair whack.

scoobyboy1 29 October 2015 07:34 PM

Just sent a e-mail off to Aston Vauxhall asking about any lease deal they are doing, told them that a friend(Sorry mate:D) had got a deal on £0 deposit and £170 a month through the Vauxhall partners scheme(My dad works for one of the companies listed) See if they get back to me, But Id love one in white with the same wheels you got!!!;)

looks great, and 170 a month is a pretty good deal

how do the stats differ to a Mini Cooper

scoobyboy1 29 October 2015 10:24 PM

Got a answer phone message from them at 7.15pm, missed there call, they said they will phone tomorrow.:thumb:

Shaun 29 October 2015 10:59 PM

Seats are similar to the Recaro's in the A45 AMG.... which are pretty stella for a road car. Deep, with wings and proper side bolsters.

Properly hold you in.

Cheers Hodgy, don't know to be honest but didn't think the standard Cooper was anywhere near 203bhp?

I am certain that will be the only similarity to an A45 AMG :D :lol1: But yep best seats in any car i've sat in, I have mine very upright too and gives great support and comfort.
