"The Terminator" 2007 Hawkeye STI - Forged Engine, Billet Turbo, Andy Forrest Mapped
https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445540577 Here is my 2007 Impreza WRX STI Hawkeye in Obsidian Black. This is my 3rd Scooby after a MY98 UK Turbo and a MY05 WRX PPP. In between those I had an BMW E39 M5 and an Audi S3 which I still have. I am selling as I have my name down for a new Focus RS to replace both cars. This Scooby is awesome but very intense, also, I fancied something new. First registered 29th September 2007 with the original owner as a Euro import from Cyprus, so one of the last Hawkeye STI's. It has a fully forged engine built by well-known North East Subaru Specialist Andy Kindon completed on 5th January 2013 at 41,509 miles. It has done 17350 miles on the forged engine till now and is currently around 58850 miles. Mileage will increase slightly as I don't let it sit still for more than a week or so. After the forged rebuild it was remapped with Ecutek Racerom at 1.6 Bar by Bob Rawle on 21st February 2013 at 43,051 miles after 1,542 miles running in. On Bob's Delta Dash readout the car did 477 BHP and 475 FT-LB. After I bought it I felt it wasn't quite running 100% perfect, so after getting the turbo checked by TD (it was fine and while it was out I got an uprated inconel wastegate fitted) I got rid of the Pierburg boost solenoid and replaced it with a top-of-the-line Perrin EBCS PRO solenoid. That meant it needed the map adjusting so I decided to get it remapped with Andy Forrest as most people would rate him equally as good as Bob but he is local to me and could deal with any future car changes easier. So it now has dual maps (1.6 bar & 1.1 bar) with launch control. If the car is taken back down to England then Bob could do a quick map adjustment for the Perrin solenoid or any other future changes giving the new owner the ultimate in flexibility at low cost. The oil & filter has been changed every 2,500-3,000 miles since the rebuild with Millers CFS 10w60 NT oil. It is always filled with Shell Optimax/V-Power. I never use more that 3000rpm or 1/4 throttle until the oil is warmed up to at least 80deg and never switch it off when the turbo is hot. I have a lever arch file with all receipts and invoices for parts, servicing, upgrades, and work carried out, etc. There is no finance on the car and it is HPI clean. First owner had it until 18,000 miles, the second until 33,000 miles. The 3rd owner (who was a Mod on the North East Subaru Forum) purchased it on 9th May 2012 and did most of the mods including the forged engine build at 41,000 miles. I am the 4th owner and bought it on 22 February 2014 with 54,000 miles. I have added several useful mods since buying it including an oil cooler, air oil separator and a new clutch all detailed below - ENGINE :

The car wants for nothing in the near future and is MOT’d until 18/3/2016. It is fully serviced up to date and has been serviced more regularly than the standard service intervals. Last full service was @ 57,282 miles on 20/3/15. Cosworth cambelt kit and brake fluid was done on 4/4/14 @ 54,439 miles. Gearbox oil changed and ACT clutch fitted on 16/8/14 @ 55,831 miles. It has never been crashed or damaged. Overall the paint is very good condition but it is not perfect, the front bumper has several stone chips and there are a small number of other stone chips here and there. There is a hole worn through the carpet at the drivers left foot rest. The seats are all good with no stains or rips. I am not a smoker and never let anyone else smoke (or eat) in the car. The trim is all good but there are some rattles, like every other Subaru Impreza ! The clutch is probably the best organic version for this car and rated to 515 ft-lbs, it is not juddery/smelly/noisey. Obviously it is a bit heavier than a standard clutch but still pretty easy to use. The rear anti-roll bar is set to the softest of three settings and the camber is set to -1.0deg on the front and -1.75deg on the rear. I usually run the car in the softest of 30 settings on the shocks which use 6kg front and 5kg rear springs. I feel the handling is pretty sharp and responsive for fast road but there is a lot of scope to make it even sharper if needed. The exhaust is not too loud compared to most cars of this level but it can get tiring for me after a couple of hours. The engine / turbo / intake / BOV / wastegate noises are all fantastic :) I have a short video that gives a flavour but doesn't really compare to real life. Maintains good oil pressure at all times, oil temp stays around 90-110deg thanks to oil cooler. I also have a box with some spare bits that will go with the car including - Comma coolant, ITG Filter cleaner, original STI steering wheel and other minor parts. It has two sets of keys and alarm fobs. I will definitely not be breaking it or selling any parts off it. The Focus RS will not be arriving till March 2016 so I am not desperate to sell and will wait for someone who appreciates the quality parts and mapping this car has. Test drives only for serious buyers that have arranged fully comp insurance for the car, or I will be driving. Happy to answer questions from people that are interested in buying the car, message me or email for phone number to discuss further or arrange viewing. https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 https://www.scoobynet.com/attachment...1&d=1445545286 |
