TD05 Big 16G on my spec type r?

I currenty run the vf23 at 1.35bar on my, rebuilt but standard, sti3 engine with the following mods.

OE Ported Headers and Harvey up pipe
Hayward & Scott 2.5" turbo back decat exhaust
Cosworth Panel filter in standard air box
ESL ecu

Standard everything else.

Im thinking about the TD05 BIG 16G along with an STI8 TMIC, fuel reg and 550cc inj to give me as much as possible without destroying the gearbox or engine, well not for a while anyway.

Anyone else have similar specs or have used this turbo on a 752 sti box?

wouldnt bother, you wont see much gain over the standard turbo so the bhp vs cost will be lousey.

Be better with vf35 or sc36. should see 330-350 and unless you drive the gearbox with a hammer should be ok

I'm running the "BIG" 16g, 346ftlb 353bhp. Apparently they can flow upto 380bhp with the correct engine and a billet compressor wheel.

Since when has there been a big Subaru 16g? The big 16g is usually spoke about with the early Evo's

The question is why not? And what's the problem with it? Technically there isn't a subaru 16g either for a newage car or any front entry impreza.
The evo 3 big 16g uses the same cartridge and turbine wheel as the impreza td05h. The perfect middle ground between 18g and 16g. I have 1.6bar on my WRX by 3200rpm.

Its a hybrid and been around for the last 10years with th bigger 16 wheel. I'm going billet as I'm talking £425 for a complete unit with the billet wheel. Found some info last night on 22b.com where John Felstead ran back to back tests with the vf23 and td05 big 16g. The results were pretty good. Spool was lower and whp up by some margin.

I'm wanting 350hp which sadly the vf23 with my mods wont achieve.
