anyone recommend a tuner in the North West?
Hi All,
It's been a while, but I've been moving countries! Back in the UK now and looking for a recommendation of a tuner in the North West. I'm based nr Skipton , Yorkshire now and just want someone within 60ish miles who I can trust. Car was last mapped by the late, great (and very sadly missed) Simon Roe. RIP. :notworthy Not been touched by anyone since. :( Anyway time to get back on it.... So I'm in need of a mapper with 4wd RR - someone who knows stroker set ups and alcatek ECU. Tried contacting alcatek but not a peep from them? Also looking for a garage that knows how to work on a car that's only got about 20% subaru parts left in it. :norty: Basically I've ended up back here without a garage of my own... so won't be doing my own stuff for a while at least. Used RCM and Alan Jeffery in the past but both sadly way too far for me now. Anywhere from Leeds/Manchester to the lake district would be ideal. Thanks for any recomendations of who to use... or even who NOT to use. All the best. M |
scoobyclinic at chesterfield, bit further over than leeds, they do everything from servicing a customer gx's right up to the the full nut bolt and paint custom build cars, rally cars, dimitrij's winning gymkhana car, mikees world record holding drag car and vaughan fletchers champ winning saloon racing car.
Also have Pat herborn based up there, syvecs ecu is his deleopment. stay well clear of rotherham scoobies or rotherham subaru developments as he now seems to have rebranded himself, cost at least two members on here there engines. |
Richard Henry in Bradford have a really good reputation, well worth a call. :thumb:

Richard Henry Motorsport in Bradford will be able to cover all your needs. Absolutely fantastic garage with second to non knowledge of these cars. My sprint car was built there and has been nothing but reliable, with some good results to back it up.
Give them a call today, speak with owner and head engineer Andy. Cannot recommend them enough! 01274 732508 |
Another vote for Richard Henry, look after my beast and keep it running sweet :)
