Steering wheel boss help......

1 Attachment(s)
I have a sparco wheel I am trying to fit to my 2005 blob widetrack.

I bought what I thought would have been the boss - this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1516797632...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

However behind the original wheel is the plug sections which stick out for the airbag & horn control - the hub will not fit with these and the holes in the hub do not fit the pins on the plastic centre:

Any help with what hub I actually need????

Cheers!

Hkb boss hubs are the ones to go for.
All these others require modding

Cool, just been looking at this one:

It doesn't appear to say it covers my model year though

What impreza do you have? As there's 3 different types.

It's a 2005 blobeye widetrack with black sti airbag wheel.

Think it's the Hkb os238 kit I need

bustaMOVEs 06 October 2015 09:43 PM

OS-239 is one you need if you have a shift light 238 is same but without shift light configuration

Cheers for the help!

I have the adjustable rpm shift light in speedo binnacle so assume it would be the 238 kit?

238 will be fine as that's what's sold commonly, a 239 will be very hard to source, but the 239 is the shift light one

Isn't that black bit supposed to be removed?

No as it has the ribbon cable in for the airbag and horn electrics. It is a nightmare if it unspools.

Ok cool, thought I'd ask as I'll be changing mine at some point :)

bustaMOVEs 07 October 2015 08:39 PM

If you use a crap boss kit like momo sparco etc they yes, clock sprung will have to come off or mod boss to fit as non of them are correct .
To do it properly and have horn, turn airbag light off, cancel indicator. You need a proper boss like hkb
