2.5 short motor using 2.0 heads

Anyone ever done this? Any advice would be great. Thanks

I have twice
2.0 V4 heads onto a 2.5 short block with forged pistons and rods.
The standard 2.5 crank is pretty strong.

We need to know what power you want to run and how you will use the car.

Cheers
Steve

I think my T25 Spec C uses the 2.0 litre heads with slight modifications.:thumb:

its mainly a fast road car. some drag racing at some point. or would I be best to stick with the 2.0 engine. the car is a newage blob.

Ideally you need to have the heads machined to suite the 2.5 rather than using thicker gaskets to sort the compression ratio's out

And remember to use 2.0 plugs

You will enjoy the extra torque/spool from the 2.5 out on the road/track but will be disappointed on the 1/4 mile where the 2.0 litre or 2.1/2.3 is better suited.
