Paul Walkers daughter sues Porsche!
 

I know the death of Paul Walker and his friend was a tragic loss and I don't want to offend anyone but how can someone sue a car company for one of there car being unsafe,
Especially when the car was speeding at 90mph and the driver lost control and crashed..
The car must of met all the stringent safety tests to have even been sold in America in the first place.

And to say the car crashed due to it having a twitchy race car nature is ridiculous
The Carrera Gt was praised for its pin sharp handing and race car feel.
Having a overactive stability system like you get on a hatchback would of ruined the car.
Not to mention the car was being driven by a professional racing driver Roger Rodas.

Looking at the state of the vehicle it's unlikely they would of faired any better in any other super car of that period.

I'm guessing owners know the risk of owning a car built for high performance is probably not going to give you the same crash protection rating of a family hatchback,

Good knows what the same crash would of been like if they were in a Arial Atom or TVR

So what now is to stop owners of all other makes of sport car who have stuffed there car due to driving in a exuberant manner now taking out claims on manufactures, Just because the sports car they brought has a tail happy nature or two much power..
Surly that's the reason they brought it in the first place.

yeah saw that and tbh i dont think he would approve tbh he went out to see what a fault with the car was is how i read the reports on it. Also modified as well from what porsche have said.

Makes me laugh, there's a fault on the car lets drive at 90mph on the public road.

Looking at all other cases of Carrera Gt accidents exessive speed has contributed to every one.

Funny how car reviewers praise a car for race like knife edge handling but when they crash it at illegal speeds they blame the car.

Or the driver is incompetent/driving beyond their ability?

The same country where some woman sued Maccy D's when the take-away coffee she bought spilled and scalded her, because "they didn't say it was very hot"...and won?

From what I have read the family of the Driver already tried to sue Porsche however were unsuccessful as they (Porsche) put the accident down to drier error. Also the daughter of Paul Walker is only 16...! I wonder who is filling her head in to try and get some $'s out of the car manufacturer!

He's probably turning in his grave over this.

But as noted, in America, a good legal team can quite frankly get you anything you want.

Thats the handling nature of a rwd mid engine car. Very hard to correct.

I read that it was something to do with the seat belt pretensioners being too violent or something. Breaking his ribs and pelvis and stopping him escaping from the car. Quite how you could prove it was the seatbelts that broke his ribs/pelvis and not the lampost that the crashed through or the tree that they crashed into is beyond me..

Exactly, The racing driver who crashed the car was most probably aware of the handling characteristics of the car.

Industrial estate , lost traction on either a man hole cover or white line resulting in tail spin & under correction & slaming into centre verge curb & trees resulting in breach to fuel tank & ignition .

Corp B looks at the costs involved in defending the suit and decides it's cheaper to just give Person A $X.

A carrera gt (when driven propperly) is less of a widow maker then normal car.

So if they were driving in the same manner in a 2010 Mustang GT convertible with a live rear axle and a Detroit locker they'd all be safe and alive?

Regardless of it was 60-70mph or 90mph hitting a tree and lampost sideways at 60mph will kill you on sudden G-force alone; not instantly, but from internal bleeding.
