Hey guys!
I recently bought my 05' STI.... but before I show you that one, I will show you my other two cars. First car #1 1998 Nissan Sabre 200GXI Jive Yellow SR20DE Exterior: Violet electronics HID's in the fogs and headlights - 6000k Gordons Customs Front new spec Nissan Sabre\Sentra replica lip Interior: JVC frontloader Targa TG18D amp Targa 2000W amp JBL splits JBL co-axils 2 Farad capacitor Engine\Power: SR20DE engine Walbro fuel pump 264/268 cams 63mm TNT exhaust system Wildcat branch Polyutherane engine mountings Thermal spacer 1) Walbro fuel pump, CAI, Wildcat branch, 57mm bosal system, stock cams, stock ECU: 129kw/235nm (93 wkw/ 169nm) - 26/05/13 2) Everything above but added: 264/268 cams and 63mm TNT system: 139kw/ 246nm (100wkw/177nm) - 30/11/13 Suspension\Brakes\Wheels: Lenso D1RR matt black rims Yokohama R1 tyres - 205/40/17 ATE discs LUK clutch She was really fun, and I loved driving her down to the coast, I would not have sold her if I stayed at the coast... Awesome first car! Attachment 42783 Attachment 42784 Attachment 42785 Second car #2 I had always dreamed of having a Subaru, since I was little. I wanted the iconic blue one with gold rims, I wanted specifically the Blobeye/Peanut eye one... And my wish came true! I bought an 05' STI on the 18 May 2014 (she was the 2.0 litre with DCCD) Specs when I bought her: She had 110 000km on the clock Stock standard besides a lowering kit (30mm drop) Latest specs: 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 8 World Rally Blue EJ207 Exterior: 35% Smash and Grab Window Tint Interior: JVC frontloader Prodrive Gearknob Starsound amp Engine\Power: Stock VF34 turbo Stock EJ207 motor Mishimoto Aluminium radiator Suspension\Brakes\Wheels: Stock ENKEI 17x8J STI gold 10 spoke wheels Lowered springs (American make) Attachment 42786 Attachment 42787 Attachment 42788 Attachment 42789 Very sad for me to say this :( On the 5th Feb 2015, on my way to an office lunch on, a lady at a stop street pulled out in front of me! I could not stop in time. Unfortunately, my BlueBlob was written off. Fortunately everyone involved is ok, thank goodness!! The car was written off, just did 7000km on her - she was so neat - i will miss her - she had 117 000km on her. There is good news though. I got another Blob STi. Third car #3 I took delivery of her on the 16 September 2016. I took her for a service on the 17 September 2015, and she went for a tune on the 23 September 2015. Specs when I bought her: 05 STi 118 000km (roughly 73 000 miles) Full Brospeed exhaust system (I thought) Aftermarket BOV ( I will be changing this to OEM) Some pics of the day when I got her: http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/...pshy3jyne4.jpg Attachment 42790 Attachment 42791 Attachment 42792 My wife was very excited! Attachment 42793 She has slight hail damage on the bonnet, and the bumpers need some TLC, but the interior is neat and it still has the stock OEM radio. Over time I will fix her up bit by bit, and get her looking great!! :D Latest specs: 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version 8 World Rally Blue EJ207 Exterior: 35% Smash and Grab Window Tint Interior: Stock Radio STI JDM red hazard switch Lamco Boost Gauge Engine\Power: Stock VF34 turbo Cosworth Bearings Cosworth Oil Pump Cosworth head gasket JE forged pistons ARP rod bolts HKS Cambelt HKS Uppipe Brospeed Exhaust Tuned to 1.2 bar by Chett Meyer Stock Blow off valve Suspension\Brakes\Wheels: Stock ENKEI 17x8J STI gold 10 spoke wheels 225/45/17 Evergreen |

For my 05 STi, I paid R175 000.

Updates:
My Blob went to Mintrams Auto Clinic for a service, he changed the following: Oil Air filter Fuel Filter Coolant Rear diff oil Gearbox oil Thanks to Antony for a great service!! She went for a tune as well :) Very happy with the results, she is sitting at 1.2 bar, and she goes very well!! This past weekend, we went to Nelspruit, and it was a good test for the Blob on the open road. This was at the Machadodorp toll gate: Attachment 42390 The cops pulled me over right after the toll .... which i can expect, since its blue, has gold mags and a big wing :D I got to Nelspruit on one tank  ... Now we know Scoobies arent known for their fuel economy, but I don't think my Blob did too badly, I arrived in Nelspruit with the gauges looking like this: Attachment 42391 She hit 267km on half a tank... which means i she would have gotten +- 534km on the open road. Must say as we got nearer to Nelspruit, the drive was very nice, especially in the twisty roads, see some of the pics Amy took: Attachment 42392 Attachment 42393 Attachment 42394 Spotted an S edition Foz on the road: Attachment 42395 Arrived!! Attachment 42396 Spotted a new Fozzie in town: Attachment 42397 My friend Renier, with the 02 STi also came through to Nelspruit: Attachment 42398 Attachment 42399 Attachment 42400 Spotted a couple scoobs around town: Attachment 42401 Attachment 42402 Attachment 42403 Met up with some of the Nelspruit scooby fans, their cars were very clean, and had low mileage!! Attachment 42404 Attachment 42405 Attachment 42406 The drive back was awesome, we took the tunnel route, I will upload a video a bit later. Here are some of the pics. Attachment 42407 Attachment 42408 Attachment 42409 Attachment 42410 Attachment 42411 Must say I really enjoyed the drive there and back, nearer to JHB on the N4, quite a few people drive terribly on the highway, no wonder we have some many accidents on the road. I will definitely take my Blob on another road trip, was great fun!! Due to the bad traffic leaving Nelspruit my fuel consumption wasnt as good as before, but it wasnt bad when I got home: Attachment 42412 My friend with his stock bug did really well: Attachment 42413 Me in the tunnel on the way back: |

Might have helped girlfriend is ndebele born and breed :D It might be a good idea to buy back the first car that crashed , I doubt if you will find a better source of spares in SA otherwise. But you had best fix the door so it won't open from the outside either, as I am sure some will try to steal your wife after all the photo's :thumb: |

I know I could order the Rally Armor ones, but i like these more. -Some gauges in the future (Perhaps Defi, or Genome) -Impreza GDB Sti front lip Polyutherane Where is the best place to go to? http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-05-SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STi-STYLE-FRONT-PU-BUMPER-LIP-BODY-KIT-/111096840484?fits=Year%3A2005%7CMake%3ASubaru%7CModel%3AImpreza&hash=item19dde34124%3Ag%3AHwYAAOSwuMFUdT3i&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fit-04-05-Su...O0MrFA&vxp=mtr Some other ideas: Walbro 255lh fuel pump - Blue Lug nuts (Still looking for ideas) I would also love to get the JDM strut brace, any ideas? Attachment 40828 I like the OEM look, and don't really want to steer to far from that... :) Keep in mind I am in South Africa, and I will need to ship the parts. |
Go for the scoobyworld ones have more of an edge and gives your car a more aggressive and lowered look
