You're running an iOS app on Android? That's clever.

Yes I paid for it, there are free versions for iOS that are not using the Ghostery database - it's not free - if you think people work as well when they're not paid then you need to have a word with yourself. They could get a wage by gathering your private data and selling it, but that only works on Android or by advertising... on a product that blocks advertising!

I use Ghostery on Safari and it's free, but they do ask if they can sell your data, something they can't do on iOS as your privacy is protected by the OS... unlike Android where you pay for the product with your private data.

Remember, if you're not paying for the product, you are the product.

Just installed it too. Hopefully it'll speed things up a bit.

Of course I'm used to it already but turning it off on my Local Newspaper site is shocking.

Why it took us so long to match Apple on privacy – a Google exec explains

http://www.theguardian.com/technolog...curity-app-ops

And that's for an unreleased version of Android that has yet to prove it's worth.

The best selling adblock app 'peace' made by ghostery.com has been pulled by the creator.

One suspects foul play either by apple and/ or advertising companies, with its success, it would be damaging reputations and loss of cheap revenue.!

Expect more adblockers dissappear over the coming weeks from apple store

A quick search would give you the reason, if you need a refund just do this http://www.imore.com/how-to-get-refund-itunes-app-store

Here's the reason https://www.ghostery.com/en/articles...pp-experiment/ mostly bull**** but hey.

Here's another blocker, I'll get a refund and stick with this one untill another Ghostery supported version comes out. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/puri...030156203?mt=8

I suspect he has been lent on, apple have generally been more aggressive by just removing apps they didn't like citing terms and conditions bull. Slightly more subtle this time, but not much :nono:

There was no Apple involvement, I've posted the reasons and they're shady enough without Apple being involved.

It will carry on working for a good while, obviously no updates. General feeling is that Ghostery rushed into a deal with the developer and now want out, most likely will release their own version.

Hi Jack

Have look on this

http://www.anandtech.com/show/9605/the-ios-9-review/10

Its worth to read about the performance of the Safari,I've installed Yosemite on my PC and there I rather using good old Chrome like Safari which is pain in arse if ask me

Agree IOS9 has rings few nice touches for newer iPhones and for iPads too,but all in all there is nothing new which I would be excited,my brother have iPhone 5s which seems is great for him

Thanks,Jura

There's a pretty big difference between Safari on Yosemite and Safari on El Capitan which is GM now so worth a try.

Split screen and picture in picture video on iPad are fun, pretty much all changes on devices below the 6s are just nice rather than groundbreaking.
