Which iPod 8 pin to 30 pin adapter

Have bought a Bose sound dock, which has the 8 pin lightning connection. Due to Apples philosophy of fleecing their customers, you can only get an official 30 pin to 8 pin adapter, allowing the later iPods, pads and phones to work with older 3rd party docking stations, but not the other way around, meaning they want you to buy the latest gadget.

Does anyone know where I can get an 8 pin to 30 pin adapter, that is tried and tested and supports audio. The only ones I can find are on ebay and amazon, but product description say these don't support audio, and many customer reviews say they don't work at all.

Such *******s for changing the design once in 2 decades. But anyhow, I don't think it can be done for anything much more than charging then you plug in an audio cable.

Im the oppsite i have the bose sound dock but its the older connection not sure if it can be replaced as dont want to stick a converter on it, you can buy a bluetooth dock adapter and link it by bluetooth.

So do you mean you want to use the likes of an iPhone 4 which has the big connection on your dock which has the newer lightning connection for the iPhone 5 onwards?

I have an adapter that I use on an old Philips dock for my iPhone 5. Works 100% and was only a couple of quid on eBay. Got a new Bose one for Xmas past so don't use it now.

Just noticed the above link says that one doesn't support Bose. This one does though:

That's one of the ones where ebay feedback say it doesn't work.

No problem with them changing the design, but the fact that they do an adaptor for a new i device to fit an old dock, but not the other way around, or even more so, not allow people like Bose to make or sell them, forcing people to hand over more cash. And before you say put your hand in your pocket and buy a new device, between my wife, kids and myself we have four iPads, three iPhones, iPod touch, iPod nano, a couple of older smaller iPods, and a classic that has all our music stored on, which is the main reason we want to be able to use it on a new docking station so I think Apple have had their fair share out of us.
