DCCD C.DIFF light

Ive just bought a car in P/X, and this light is flashing. I'm told by the last owner it is where a new steering wheel has been fitted, and this has caused a break in a wire in the column. Im based in Chelmsford. can anyone recommend anyone to take the car to to get it fixed.
many Thanks

Andrew

Be interested to know the answer to this as my RA is also doing it

From what I know it usually means the dccd ecu cant detect load on the dccd unit itself, ie a break in the wires. There are 2 wires, just under the IC on a classic, that are in the 6pin plug along with the neutral and reverse switch wiring. These run to the top of the dccd unit and usually they break with age.

It can be anything from a NPS fault to a faulty centre diff as I know all to well my car is at API at the minute for a replacment coil within the diff.

There is a sequence to pull dccd codes on the newage sti not sure about the hatches etc, I would look on nasioc as there are far more hatch owners over there and a wealth of knowledge,

What year is the car?

The fact the fault started after the steering wheel was change makes me think its the angle sensor(yaw) needs to be re calibrated at subaru id take it to a specialist to have it properly diagnosed and rectified.
