S202's a plenty!
Any idea why there are so many S202's for sale at the moment?

I've been watching and some of these have been for sale for months, and are unlikely to find a buyer anytime soon as Autumn and Winter approaches. |
Maybe 10 years ago I remember reading a road test of the S202 online. Has anyone else come across this as I can't seem to find it.

Thank you 53, you are a gentleman.

Thanks 53, that'll be 9 currently for sale then!

The only guise in which the "Ugly Bug" is deemed acceptable and a special edition means a premium for dealers, so the margins are probably slightly better on importing them.
Not sure I'd give £12/14k for a bug though, especially seeing as you can get JDM Bug STI's for half the money, Slap on an SC36 and an oil cooler and 99% of drivers wouldn't know the difference, beyond the fact that they've still got £5k more left in the bank. I know it's more complicated than that, Ray's, Spoiler, tity exhaust, suspension, Blah,Blah,Blah Special Edition Blah, Blah, Blah I just couldn't part with £12/14k for one. Although the black one @ Motorhub looks like sex on wheels and is probably the one I'd go for even though I know their rep and it's probably a dog in the flesh, it's no less of a roll of the dice than any of the others. ooooooh and did I mention it's shiny black and sexy. :lol1: |
I hear you ditchmyster.

S202 is no different to any other pukka special edition that commands a premium, no point comparing to a more production spec factory car price wise IMO............
modified special's are a whole different ball game |

modified special's are a whole different ball game I don't, but then I'm not a fan of newage STI's anyway, as I don't think they are as much fun to drive as the likes of a Type R, but that's purely down to personal preference and what I want that type of car to be / do for me, not necessarily a bad car, a bit like EVO's, they're great at what they do but they're just not for me. |

It took a while but I got ya. :p |
I'm torn between getting an S202 and a Blob Spec C. Anyone owned Both? It's really the DCCD that is swaying me to spec C as I like a rear bias feel. I'm only really interested in performance rather than creature comforts.

Cannon fodder has owned both

Try harder ;) I actually don't like it when a car is too good at everything it does and sticks like glue, I prefer something that feels on the edge without doing crazy speeds, in line with that the newage imprezas are a bit too stable and quite easy to drive fast, where as a pretty much standard Type R with around 330bhp isn't, they're a bit all over the place, which is what appeals to me. As for the WRX it's just a cheap practical 4wd daily that has a reasonable turn of speed when required, I'm under no delusions as to it's capabilities, but it does what I need it to do. :thumb: Something like an S202 (or an STI for that matter) is no use to me as a daily and the S202 is probably too good at what it does to be of interest to me. |

Joking aside, reserve judgement till you've driven one I guarantee it will surprise you. I also have a classic ;) Sorry. |
ecu/key chip
Is this uk car? If so,is ecu, transponder and key chip available. Thanks
|
Plenty because they are now much cheaper to import, because;
1. Yen to pound rate. 2. dramatic drop in shipping costs. 3. Model over 10 years old, no iva test. = more profit for sought after rarity, but each one that comes in means less rare! |
