Exhaust fitting problem

Hey all

I have a blitz exhaust system and recently bought a japspeed decat downpipe ( I know a lot of you frowning already but I like the noise )

However I am having trouble connecting the downpipe to the centre section, I m using the nuts and bolts that was supplied with the blitz system, they are odd looking bolts with springs, anyways I have now snapped one bolt and bent a further 4 more. Has to buy the exact same ones from a local shop. The problem is basically the downpipe and the centre section aren't really sitting flush, I am using a gasket but I was wondering if I should be using an o ring or something ? Or am I doing something completely wrong ?
Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks

The link posted above would be the correct size to fit my exhaust ?

Thanks

If its a 2 1/2 inch exhaust then yes. (standard size)

If its a 3 inch then no.

Indeed it sounds like, you need the special cone gasket bud

Thanks a lot guys, got it all sorted. It was indeed a cone gasket that I needed not the flat one that I was trying to use. It was however a pain in the a$$ trying to get one on the same day, I'm sure the one from ICP would be perfect but I didn't want to wait for delivery, managed to get one from a local ish shop, was abit to small but with a little heat applied it went on smoothly, nice and tight.

Thanks again
