impreza version 3 sti

Hi been offered a impreza version 3 sti been in the country about five years but hasnt been mapped for uk fuel would there be any issues not doing that

Probably hasn't been mapped because it's a V3, being unmappable it would need ESL or some other replacement ECU if it hasn't got one already, which I'm sure it doesn't if its not been mapped for UK fuel.

Sorry what i mean is it ok to run it on our fuel without mapping i understand it will need esl or apexi

I can't imagine there'd be a problem if you run 99RON, maybe even get some octane booster?

On my 6s ecu fitted to my type r v3 I get no knock or running issues on 99ron v-power. That's was on a completely standard setup.

Thanks mate

I ran mine for several years when Shell sold Optimax (98 RON) but always added Octane Booster - the Knocklink was always in the green under full boost (1.3bar managed by a Blitz DSBC). Always worth having a bottle or two in the boot in case you run short of a Shell garage.

If it's lasted 5 years it should be OK or it's about to go bang if not.
