Egine advice needed please.

Hello,
Just a few questions for the brainy one's in here.

My wife's 03 plate wrx has developed a little end rattle/failure, I know you will all shout REBUILD/FORGE IT ect but that's not the plan, The plan is to source another wrx engine and I will simply swap them over,. This is where the fun starts,.

Are all Ej20 turbo engines the same ? Ie bare blocks,.

If not which year engine would drop straight in, I know the inlets are different on the classic/newage but is it a simple inlet swap to get one to fit should I drop on a classic engine ?

If any of you happens to have or to know where there's an engine for this then please let me know:thumb:

just drop a newage sti engine in,matty b knocks them out for around £1300 and they are about the strongest lump made by subaru, i put one in my blob wrx when mine big ended

you can either wire up the avcs heads or leave them unwired (you just wont get the benefit of avcs)

dont bother with another wrx lump................they are ****e
