Multi Function Gauges - PLX DM-6

Currently I've got the usual centre dash pod with 3x gauges: Boost Pressure, Oil Pressure and Oil Temp.

I'd soon like to add AFR, but also feel I'd like to monitor water temp too.. which is all going to add up to making my dash look a mess.

Toucan is out of reach, because I'm on OEM ECU.

I did a bit of googling around and came across the DM-6 range from PLX.

It's potentially a single gauge which connects up to 32 sender units which all could go off to different things.

Realistically I'd probably have three DM-6 gauges in total in my current centre pod:

Boost Pressure and Oil Pressure on one
Oil Temp and Water Temp on one
AFR and intake air temp on one

For approx. £140 you can get a gauge+single sender (with all sensors/wiring) in a kit with additional sender/sensor kits (without gauge) being around £80. That would put my proposed setup in the region of £700 which is Defi money, but I'd be getting 6x readouts rather than three.

Alternatively I could get 1x gauge kit and 5 sender kits which makes it ~£540. But that would be 6 bits of info on a single gauge, and might get a bit difficult to realtime monitor the critical ones whilst on track etc.

PLX also do a datalogger bit of hardware that all this lot can feed into too, but that's probably going a bit far for me.

Any experience on these? As my proposed setup will be close to defi money, I'd like them to be quality.

I may start by retaining my current pod and prosport gauges and adding a single PLX DM-6 in my a-pillar to cover AFR and water temp. If it proves quality and accurate, I can then begin replacing my prosports later.

I don't like lots of gauges, so I had a zeitronix zt2 in my old MR2 - good bit of kit, might be worth a look also?

Looks like a good kit the Zeitronix, thanks Paul. Will look into it!
