help with hard race drop links
Hi guys looking for help with these drop links hard race from apex performance.
For my05 widetrack jdm blob. Basically waiting for apex to get back to me about the mounting bolts. They didn't come with any and apparently people use the originals from old links. My oem links are ball joint type so no bolts to use. Wondering if these do actually fit my car thought I'd throw it up incase someone has solved it before. they are for 5x100 cars on rear, and also steel front wishbones on front
people will say you can fit them etc to widetracks but to be honest they'll be no better than std ball joint items and cause more hassle than worth imo. replace the inner anti roll bar bushes, steering rack bushes with uprated jobs & fit std droplinks - jobs a good'un |
Yea , as above
After trying just about every link avail I have gone back to lollipop ball links : adjustable ones for a little more precision ... But stock ones are fine / most of the updated stuff out there is fine if you only use your car in dry conditions ., but most will succumb to the British weather / |
Will the standard widetrack blob droplinks work well with uprated whiteline arbs too?
I have purchased a rear arb and was going to do the drop links too, is it pointless? |
That's the position I was in done the prodrive arb and noticed the ball joint links were leaking m8.
I'm going with advice above sent those back got oem Links done the rear arb bushes already so doing the from bushes and oem links all round with steering rack bushes while I'm in there. Cheers for posts guys. |
I'm using Perrin front & whiteline rear ARB both with adjustable lollipop links & it's the best it's been /
In answer to your question its not pointless but if you use your car in all weather try to avoid rose jointed . Even the rain with water ingress kills them Regards |
Do the adjustable links allow for more stiffening of the roll bar.
Who sells good quality versions of them m8. Cheers |
we carry various suitable options for all of the types of F&R drop links required over the years......

Mind you on via phone at minute. |
our stock is so varied and we get mental busy with engines/engineering/etc. that the web is miles away from ideal
we are pretty oldskool in being more of a traditional mail order company and advise, purchase, etc. is easier by phone |

No they are Ball joint ( lollipop ) links They are fine
Only thing I would recommend is when you receive them undo them & apply a coat of rustoleum paint or something similar as whiteline apply a pi$$ poor covering of paint to all there products , once you have done that / your good to go Regards |
