Shift Light/Buzzers for classics

Going to be doing some trackdays soon and 1 thing I've noticed is that I'd really benefit from a shiftlight or beeper like the newage sti's have.

Anyone got any recommendations/pics/details of one fitted to a classic? I'm looking for something relatively discreet, not one of those tube type that just bolt to the dash.

I know the rpm signal is on the ecu and power/earth in the dash isnt a problem.

Listen to the engine?

I do, and thats mainly how I drive but at over 400bhp theres a lot going on in the shorter gears (1-4) so it would be handy when doing short track and 1/4 mile etc

I'm assuming you have a limiter set in ecu? Then I'd just listen and if you go over you have limter

thats one thing i'm not sure of. I dont like to rev engines too hard, never have done. I tend to look at where my peak power is and shift just before rather than stringing it out. Might be the wrong way to drive but I feel like i'm being more sympathetic to the engine that way.
