Page crashing on Apple devices

FAO Apple whizkids:

I cannot upload an SN thread full of YouTube videos on my iPhone and on my iPad Air. It was ok until a few vids, but as the number of such has increased, my Apple devices are struggling to upload the page and eventually crash the page. :( All Apple devices in our house are regularly updated with iOS upgrades, so that's nothing to do with that.

It's not my internet speed etc., as I can easily conduct this operation without any crashing on my Windows devices, but I'm very disappointed that super efficient Apple devices are croaking at performing a simple, modern days day-to-day operation.

Why is it like that?? Is it because super efficient Apple don't want you to access that many free YouTube vids in a cluster due to their wish for you to buy those vids/mp3s on their iTune?? I may be totally wrong in thinking that, so please enlighten me.

Thank you in anticipation. :)

It's bad coding on SN/Vbulletin. Facebook would load each video as you scroll, SN will use all available memory until it crashes. Later devices have more memory so you can load more videos before it crashes.

Thank you, Jack. Our Windows/Android devices with less memory are responding better without crashing. I get what you say, though. Well, I think I do, that it's to do with bad coding on SN/Vbulletin. Shame that, but I'm not really stuck. I can surf such threads on my Windows devices, no worries.

Thanks, again. :)

Or alternatively, you could just use a proper computer :)

My 50 quid windows tab takes a minute or so to get to the bottom of the page vid opening

Sure. I've had to do that too, for the purpose.

That's my point.

Bad coding of SN/Vbulletin doesn't seem to affect Windows gizmos' performance despite small memory and cheap cost of it.

Upgrade to iPhone 6+ 256gb

You'll probably even get change from a grand :)
