Missed out only for dealer to snap up

This came up on eBay on Saturday night. Classified ad @ £1990:

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181820703592

Was going to call on Sunday morning but it had been snapped up already.

Some autotrader searching today shows it relisted by a dealer, for TWICE the price:

I know this is how dealers operate etc... But TWICE THE PRICE?!?!? It takes the piss!

Shock horror
A dealer making profit
What about 3/4 salesman in 30k each to make
Mechanics on 29k plus
Manager in 30k plus
Admin staff
Advertising costs
Rent
Buisness rates
Water rates
Electric costs
Stationary
And the rest
If you know how much it costs to run a dealership you would be shocked

Need maybe 20k a week to pay the bills

Yep good ones get snapped up pretty rapid, you need to be on the ball, cash in hand.:thumb:

What a dealer advertises the car for and what they sell them for, are two very different things.

LMAO I wish; try below £20k, unless working for a main dealership or as a high level technician, even then it tops out well below £29k.

Other than that carry on :thumb:

why do you think 90% of cars are bought up by c performance?

was a blob advertised on here for 8 or 9k a while back, didn't sell, trader bought it and put it back up for 14k

Thats annoying, saw a nice classic on ebay awhile ago, asked if he would be letting the auction run to the end. As loads of people keep removing them, he said he would then removed it the next day lol

Missed out on a few bargains over the years, but as said you snooze you loose.
