Recommend me some seats

Car is almost finished and will be doing track days.. the standard sti seats in my blob don't really hold you to well. So can anyone recommend me some nice seats that hold you well but are also comfy?

The corbeau ones in mine would be gd for a track day, not as comfortable as the standard seats, not bad though. Ideal if ur on a budget

Kedlestone 02 August 2015 08:17 PM

I had some Sparco Evo 2's which were very comfortable and supportive, not to expensive either.

Car will be used as a daily don't want somthing that's going to break my back. Thanks lads will keep looking around. How much have you both paid for yours?

I was lucky and got them off a chap who was stripping his trackday car so think I only paid £350 for the pair at the time, which is pretty good being that they were not marked or worn.

Yeah I regret selling to be honest but I was selling up at the time to fund a house move so needs must. Actually looking to either get these again or smithing similar for my Widetrack track car in the near future.

Yeah that's the same car as I have. My best mate is over at nurburg this week. I'm hoping to get over there next year as well as a load of track days over here.

It depends on your size.
If you are slim and around 6ft you will fit well in a Recaro SR, supportive (I fit like a glove in them) yet comfortable in long journeys. The back is adjustable too which helps in a daily driver.

You've got to be carefull as height matters as the guy at demon Tweeks pointed out. At 5'10" these are spot on, I spent nearly 2 hours there Saturday morning and I'd budgeted £500 per seat so I had loads of choice and these was the best for me. I wanted some seats for sprinting and time attack and a bit of road driving aswell.

Yeah thanks. Most of my mates are 6ft +. Would they be ok in them or get a slightly larger seat?

It's all about where the harness holes are. To low or to high it becomes a problem if you crash. Your shoulders need to level with the shoulder harness holes. I'm just repeating what demon Tweeks told me but it makes sense to me. Maybe the XL for your taller pals as the harness holes are higher, I know cuz I sat in the XL first.
