Three Reasons Why Regular Subaru WRX Is Better Than STI
This guy has a point.
https://www.dpccars.com/blog/wp-cont...-2-700x325.jpg From the article: Should you buy the Subaru WRX or the big brother STI? Is 2015 Subaru WRX STI better than the regular WRX? The 2015 Subaru STI features a 2.5L boxer four producing 305 horsepower while the 2015 Subaru WRX has a more modern 2.0L producing 268 horsepower and peak torque at a low 2,000 RPM. Sounds like he's been reading my posts. :lol1: It's always been the case, with the Newage's anyway, WRX PPP is the daddy for a daily driver for all the reasons I have said over the years, now they are being reiterated by this guy, it's not fresh news to those of us that actually understand smaller turbos, early peak torque, longer ratios and lighter equals a quicker car in the real world, and the final kick in the teeth is it's better on fuel too. :lol1: |

I didn't even know Subaru had done a new 2.0 for twin scroll for the WRX, 268bhp stock. I guess in this instance it may well be better, especially considering the tired old 2.5's problems.

Mines not a daily driver. It sits in my garage all week and I spend all week looking forward to using it at the weekend......because it's an STi. Would I look 'as' forward to opening that garage door on a Saturday morning and seeing a WRX staring back at me? No.
|
Who gives a to55? |
WHAT?! Only 3? I am suprised, NOT!! Here we go again :)
|
Were talking brand new WRX vs new STi, yes the new WRX on paper seems the better car!!!
So how many off these brand new WRX's are in the UK???? None because there not for the UK market:lol1: |
If you live in london were the roads are worse then baghdad a wrx as a daily definatly makes more sence also
|
In my eyes the WRX is the thinking mans choice, and the STI is for sheep.:thumb:

=neil-h;11719368]Agreed, I've got a WRX PPP as a daily and tbh i'm bored of it now. Then how did you wind up with a wrx? :wonder: ;) |

You may need to spend some money on better brakes and handling mods, or some driving lessons. ;)
I couldn't afford an STI. :Suspiciou :lol1: |

At the end of the day this whole WRX vs STI argument is always going to be subjective and based upon what you want / expect from your car.
The points made in the video are all valid and the same things I have said over and over on here, to the point that even I am bored of it. At the end of the day we all pay our money and make our choices based on what we as individuals want/need, like / don't like and finances play a part too. I'm happy with my purchase and have been for over 4yrs, it has a few enhancements so it's not exactly standard, but I have always been happy with the power and the way/where it delivers it. For me it's the perfect road car and does everything I need it to do. If others aren't happy with theirs then that's fine by me, and maybe they should consider their next car a little more carefully. :thumb: |
I love my PPP WRX.. It makes getting in my STI even more exciting lol
|
full torque by 2000rpm vs 4000?
perrins research shows different lol http://blog.perrinperformance.com/wp...5_stiwrxhp.jpg |
Sure south londons jdm keyboard warrior will love this when he reads it.

The engine in the MY2015 WRX is the engine that should of been in the BRZ.

Much like my WRX it's going slow and steady, just collecting parts as and when they come up cheap, some of us don't feel the need to shout about the stuff we're doing. :thumb:
