Meet LuLu

It's not an Audi, an AMG or a M series... Finally got myself a '67 Citroen HY.

She's had a catering conversion and only requites a little more work before she'll be hitting the streets, selling low and slow cooked BBQ food.

I've already got a list of modifications I'm going to make - 2.0 Ford Zetec engine, 5 speed Renault box, power steering and uprated brakes.

She currently has a top speed of about 45 MPH, at 40MPH her wing mirrors get blown closed by the wind! :D

Here she is before her refurb:

You will stick out like a carrot in an omelette driving that around.

Where will you be based?
A mate runs a "street food" van down here (clay oven cooked pizzas, etc - hired it for my 40th Birthday) and it's doing really well.

That's very cool

Predominantly around Nottingham, but will also be covering the East Midlands. Once it has the reliable, modern engine, I'll take her further.

There are loads around your neck of the woods, as one of the big importers is based in Par.

Very classy :thumb:

Looking at the plate, it's come from somewhere in the sunny south, which might explain the relatively well-preserved bodywork even before respray.

Would be good to take it here next year...
