I'm always polite to cyclists and horse riders. But, there are rules for the road.

When lights are red, bikes either go through or go onto the pavement. Cars don't because they can easily be traced (or might kill people driving down the pavement :lol1:)

I have had a car scratched by a cyclist going through a tiny gap in traffic. He just fcuked off and disappeared, leaving me to pay for the repair. If he had a license plate, I could have claimed for the damage that he caused.

And don't get me started on the cyclists who seem to go out of their way not to ride on the cycle path provided for THEIR safety

I don't posses many pet hates, but that is definitely one of them, there's a stretch of road near me that I sometimes ride my bike on, it narrows and people park on one side, there's a cycle lane up the inside of the pavement that it seems like only me and my family use because everytime I drive down there some f@ckers riding on the road, ok you have to ride 10m out of your way to use the cycle path and 10m back to the road 3/400m up but it's better than dicing with the cars that come flying down trying to beat traffic in the opposite direction to the bit where only one car can pass.

There are other places that psycholists have to go out of their way to use the cycle path too and never seem to use them either, wonder how things would be looked upon if car drivers thought the same, Oh the road means I have to go round some houses, I'll just drive through everyones gardens because it's quicker.

I ride cycle paths as much as I can, but sometimes it's just too dangerous. If you think lifting your right foot a little and putting it down again at 30mph is a hassle, maybe even using your indicators occasionally then you should try being pulled out on at every junction/driveway as you have no right of way and dodging prams at 30kph.

This is one reason cyclists don't use cycle paths.

I'm sure that's probably the most extreme example and gets posted on a regular basis all over the net whenever the subject comes up, ;) and rightly so, it's obviously not a good idea there for all concerned and should be removed, as it creates more of a hazard. But we both know those aren't the ones I'm talking about.

As for the slowing down and indicating reference etc, if I have to be somewhere I just make sure I leave in plenty of time so I don't have to drive / ride like a d1ck to get there, I'd rather be sat outside reading a newspaper than stuck in traffic fretting and swearing, having my p1$$ boiled by idiots on the road. :thumb:

I could go out and film similar in about 10 minutes, especially on a school day, those above are extreme as that's a segregated lane but - at least around here - any cycle lane marked on a road is a parking spot.

We have too many fat people and too many filthy cars on the road, the answer to these issues isn't restricting cyclists. Brexit will help as pretty soon we'll all be told to "Get on your bikes" again.

For the most part that situation doesn't happen where I live, but the cycle lanes are ignored by cyclists 90% of the time :(

Anything more than 20mph is too fast for a cycle lane imho, far better suited to the road. :thumb:
