Summer

16/20 degrees at best here , doesn't quite cut it really . :(

Any chance of an improvement you think ? Kids breaking up now (meaning anything can happen)

We may have missed it I guess when we went to Normandy end june ( 32 -34 )

Matteeboy 22 July 2015 09:19 PM

Heatwave next week; apparently.

I look forward to it, if that.

Yes, it has been chilly-ish this week here too, but still no need for cardigans etc., which is good.

alcazar 23 July 2015 08:50 AM

The UK heatwave lasted all of five days in early July.

Over here in France, it's been going on since mid-June.

hodgy0_2 23 July 2015 09:24 AM

according to my wife the "summer" lasts right up until the children break up from school

then it is sh1t

Business as usual surely?

If you don't like the climate here move somewhere else :D

Personally I'm not a massive fan of hot weather any more. Would rather be too cold than too hot as it's easy to do something about the former i.e. put on another layer of clothing / turn up heating. So suits me :thumb:

Matteeboy 23 July 2015 01:00 PM

I just did a coast run - felt bloody hot to me!

dpb 23 July 2015 01:07 PM

I'm not that keen on 30 plus , 25 Would be nice though for a month or so before the inevitable down turn .
I suppose feeling a little 'spoilt' with our ever changing , non boring weather haha

dpb 23 July 2015 01:31 PM

Like tomorrow lol.

markjmd 23 July 2015 01:45 PM

Temperature is one thing, what's ****ing me off is the persistent absence of sunshine that goes with it

I'd love to know also where Mattee is getting his weather forecast. Down here in supposedly one of the warmer parts of the country (GUx postcode), mine is saying more of the same overcast skies and occasional rain for next week as we've had for the past month.

Matteeboy 23 July 2015 01:49 PM

Well we've all got a deep all over tan from being here. ;)

Haha, I am a muppet! Googled with a "posted in the last week" filter but it clearly didn't work. It was in the local papers but I can't find it now.

All you'll ever need to know about the weather each month is here:

When you look at the extremes of weather other countries have to endure, we dont do too bad. Ok, we have the odd storm and flooding, but other than that , pretty temperate i think. I certainly wouldnt want hot all the tome. Its no good for people with breathing problems. The Wednesday we had a couple of weeks ago was a killer for me. Too warm even to sit around in, never mind work

Paben 24 July 2015 08:07 AM

I work a lot in hot countries and it's a real relief to come back here to a rainy day - for about five minutes! But I genuinely prefer our unpredictable weather to non stop blue skies and 40c+.

kevo10 24 July 2015 08:21 AM

Well, without the bad, you cant appreciate the good .And vice versa

alcazar 24 July 2015 08:34 AM

Yes....you can!!!

Matteeboy 24 July 2015 08:40 AM

Absolutely sh**ing it down here today. And no surf.
Dammit.

Come on now, no one surfs in the rain, you'd get soaked!

dpb 24 July 2015 09:19 AM

Its the way the weatherman nearly always gifts us a low planted smack over the top for Sunday that gets me

:lol1: very true.

ditchmyster 24 July 2015 11:46 AM

32.7 here and that's inside a stone house with 0.5m thick walls :lol1: closer to 38/40 out in the sun :D I don't like it too hot but fortunately there's a nice breeze, which is nice for me, but not so nice for the fire fighters tackling a forest fire caused by lightning strikes yesterday afternoon. 300 hectares gone so far and it's still going 24hrs later. :( Next year will be a good one for wild asparagus though. :)

Turbohot 24 July 2015 02:16 PM

It's actually quite cold today here in North Wales. :( I think I need to put the heating on.

dpb 24 July 2015 03:32 PM

I'm watch Le Tour , just cos I can

I recall 2013 when I watched it all since had foot up with broken toes , I had to have doors and windows open because it was too hot otherwise

Today having to keep them closed , too cold !

dpb 26 July 2015 09:51 AM

I guess the bright side is the soaking rain doesn't actually freeze you this time year

Next door young family gone camping I believe for their hols :(

DYK 26 July 2015 11:30 AM

37 C in Prague had a nice Sunday afternoon bathing other week :)
Our UK summers don't last long before the usual p1ssing it down comes. And when we do have nice weather why you get moaning tossers saying its to hot ? oh so would rather have the cold and rain then :hjtwofing
