Newbie :)

Hey ppl :)

I'm new and from Wolves. After a bit of advice as I'm going to be buying my first scooby in the next few weeks. I've been looking at a 1993 Impreza WRX import. I'm going for an older one as i'm 26 and I've managed to get it on classic insurance for £180 a year! The scooby is currently on ebay so let me know you'd like to have a look.

Thanks in advance :)

Hi and welcome.
Sounds like you've got yourself a very competitive insurance quote. Do you mind if I ask who it was with?
Regards,
Dan.

At what age do cars qualify for classic insurance?

DAN@ADRIAN FLUX 23 July 2015 04:31 PM

Typically 15 years plus. However it also has to be a classic 'risk' in the insurers eyes. Ie. You could have a 20 year old car but use it every day and cover 20,000 miles a year for business use and park it on the side of the road - This won't be a classic risk and you would unlikely qualify for classic insurance.

I hope that helps.

Regards,
Dan.

Hmm, interesting. My car is 18 years old and covered 980 miles between the last two MOT tests. This year, maybe 50 miles between tests. However, I keep the car in a residential parking area sometimes. It's not a through road but is open to the public. It's been in dry and secured storage at my friends car business for months now though. What category would my car fall in to?
