Trying to find my old Subaru

I am trying to find my old Subaru Impreza Turbo 2000 AWD 5 door hatchback in green. The reg is P994 VVL. On 25th September 2013 it was sold in Merthyr-tydfil for £1,200 and had 120,000 on the clock. It then came to Chelmsford Essex and was sold to me and my close friend on 17th January 2014. We sold it on on 10th May 2014.

I have no idea who bought it or where it went to from here, but I checked on DVLA website and the tax was due on 1st October 2014 but not renewed or SORN and the MOT expired on 23rd September. It hasnt be scrapped, written off or stolen according to the vehcile check that I had done.

The reason I want to find it is on 25th July 2014 my best friend who also had this vehicle with me, died suddenly in a motorbike accident. His bike was a write off, his car that he had at the time was taken by his parents so I am left with nothing. I didnt want him to sell the Subaru as I loved the way the car looked and sounded, but he did anyway. I hope that you can see this picture. Its a side view of the car and was exactly the same when it was sold, apart from having a dent on the drivers side wing at the front by the headlight.

Any information will be great. Thanks in Advance Susie :thumb:

If its not been taxed or MOT'd since Sept 2014 so doesn't look good. If it was tucked away it should be showing as SORN. Fingers crossed its tucked away somewhere. Hope you have some luck finding it :thumb:

*edit* no pics showing btw (you need to host them with photobucket or similar)

Sorry to say this, but a lot of these older ones go over the channel to Eastern Europe on the back of a Polish or Romanian trailers , unless the V5C2 is sent in by the new trader you won't know if it left the country. However get a picture up on here , and we will all keep an eye out for you.

Anyone who has already read this thread will understand this message.

If you have nothing helpful or encouraging to say, perhaps this is not the thread for you. :thumb:

Apologies to some of you, whose posts have been deleted that weren't trying to be 'funny', but it was only due to them being in response to thoughtless comments.

Good luck with your hunt, Susie.

I hope that this picture shows this time around.. The person that my friend sold it to did say that he was going to do things to the Subaru, by that I hope he meant give it more BHP. I hope that it hasnt gone to Europe but I suppose I have no way of finding that out, unless there is a European forum that I can join?

Thanks Lisa for getting rid of unhelpful messages and thank you to everyone else who has replied so far..... Please keep looking though
