Suspension upgrade
Hi I currently have Tein S springs fitted to the standard sti struts on my V3.
I am finding the car squats a LOT when flooring it, and to me it looks too low on the back? Anyone know what the best springs are I can get for this? I am not bothered about ride comfort just want a good handling setup Maybe the P1 springs? Any suggestions appreciated :thumb: |

P11L's, with matching bump stops, would work. You can't use the wr15r/t's as your damper couldn't control them |

Unfortunately the only way to get the exact look you require, rather than what you're given, is to fit adjustable coilovers. Then prepare to be bounced about on back roads, A roads too sometimes.

I read OP's requirements as handling, not looks.
I've not tried Tein S myself but reviews are mixed. I have very good experience with the P1 springs - imo for the road ride cannot be separated from handling as compliance is essential. The group buy is also offering WR15 springs if you want something stiffer. |

Not really looked into coilovers tbh So I presume the anti lift kit will stop the front lifting and prevent the weight shifting to the rear? If so then that sounds what I need to get. |

Your roll centres, particularly at the rear, are so low, it's increasing roll during cornering. In comparison to your Tein s, the P11L springs would be 9mm higher at the front, and be 15ishmm higher at the rear, with half a tank. Fuel level will make a 9mm rear difference, between full and empty. Increased positive rake: A. relatively, higher rear ride height, moves the roll centre rearward, increasing rear roll resistance. That, in turn, makes the front end roll more - helping turn-in response and reducing understeer, without the use of stiffer bars. You might find some useful stuff in here: https://www.scoobynet.com/993560-p1-...cussion-4.html The matching bump stop kit will sort out the rearward pitch under acceleration. The WR15R/T springs would be 6mm lower than the P11L's, but you'd need different struts. Or put koni inserts into you existing struts - £650 for the inserts. HTH |
