Godspeed 330 Rotors on Prodrive Calipers? Do They Fit??

Hi there,

I have recently purchased a set of Rotors from Godspeed for my Prodrive Calipers.

So it came to fitting them and later did i notice, the rotors are ever so slightly bigger (diameter). This then gave me a problem to fit my existing bells as they were totally off by miles.

So i then ordered Bells from Godspeed. But since then i have done some research and it seems a lot people have had problems fitting them.

are they a straight fit? with the new bells? did prodrive come out from the factory with 330mm discs? It seems my ones are a little smaller.

is it worth me making a new rotor as the ones i have got already? (294mm) or would the 330 fit with no problem.

Please if anyone can help that would be much appreciated. My subbie is starving for a fresh pair of brakes.

Thanks

The 330mm discs that you've bought are for the Alcon prodrive brake upgrade, a totally different set up to the 294mm set up you have fitted.

But I mentioned this to Godspeed and the guy did say the 330mm would fit straight on. All I would need are the bells.

I can't understand, because I can't even find the exact discs that the previous owner had fitted on the car. They rotors are a fraction smaller than the Godspeed ones. I'm confused. Should I cancel my order and return the discs and rotors?

If those discs are for the Alcon Prodrive. Then what do I have? I am running the prodrive callipers to.

Stick some pic of your current brakes up - it will help people confirm what you have and what you need:thumb:

I thought I'd explained it to you on the phone clearly enough ??

You do indeed have the Prodrive Alcon calipers fitted to your car , that were only fitted with 330mm x 28mm discs , the original discs were a one piece design.
The original discs are no longer available so the only option you have is the aftermarket 2 piece and bells.
You have bought our 330mm x 28mm rotors and found they do not fit your bells , so the 2 piece discs you have on your car are not ours , you also said your discs are 328mm , which are slightly undersized from original.

As I told you , it sounds as though someone has made 2 piece discs for your car , but has used a slightly smaller disc for for reason.

The options we gave you is either send the discs you bought from us back , along with your discs and bells and we can copy the discs to fit your bells , or for an extra £75 we can supply you our bells to fit our discs that we know are right for your calipers having sold 100's of pairs of them

As per our phone conversation yesterday afternoon , we plan on sending the bells out tomorrow for you , please let us know if you don't want them

Cheers Ian

Hi Ian. Many thanks for your reply. Yep I can understand what your saying. Last night I was just doing some research and found that some people were having problems with the 330mm. I just hope I don't run into any problems. I still find it weird that the previous owner fitted smaller ones. For what reason I don't know. Could there be any reason? I tried to get in contact with him to ask but have failed.

Let the order go through. I would like to try it out and see if it all fits and works. Which I hope.

I understand your issue, I have the Prodrive Alcon calipers with a one off 330*28mm bells,

The rotor's are also 10 stud for the bell's rather than the Godspeed 12 ( or is it the other way round )

The problem with discs being used that are slightly smaller could maybe be brembo discs witch are 328mm and are not the correct ones.

Hope this helps

Yes, that is exactly the problem I have. It got me very confused and very double minded to know what I should I buy. With the help of Ian at Godspeed he also mentioned they seem to have been a different make. (Brembos). So it's not just me that has encountered this same problem. The 330mm are the right ones then. Ian was 100% sure and I think having listened to your experience it is deffinelty right.
