Why do you want it, have you failed an mot on emissions?

jaygsi 05 July 2015 03:16 PM

No, just that sometimes struggles to get past emissions, its due to the sports cat, was hoping this might clean it help it to work abit better.

I failed emissions on my last MOT.Used CAtaclean & passed ok.Make sure you use it on the way to the test & get the engine/exhaust as hot as possible.

I normally have to take it on a long drive before mot as its 100 cell cat. Was just wondering if this would help make the cat work better.

Jay did you ever try this stuff ? I came across it and was wondering if it is safe to use in the scooby.

You could ask VW to do your emissions test.... ;)

I used it on my old M3 after it failed emissions. Passed once I used it.

Not very scientific though; could have been that I had the car warmer the second time it tested. It only just passed.

Mechanic mate of mine swears by it. Nothing to lose by using it.

Only reason I asked is that I'm intending to buy a second hand prodrive back box and am looking for ways to try and clean out existing deposits inside the pipework etc. Thought this might help but I guess I'm barking up the wrong tree.
