Security

Looking for a security camera system something small and discreet.

Doesnt need to record 24/7 just be activated on sensing movement etc, wireless preferred but not essential.

What are people using? I have had some stuff go missing, 2x scaff baords, socket set, just minor things, I think I know who it is so just want to confirm before going to get my stuff back....

Been looking at something like this?

The front of the house is secure, I think they have been getting in through the rear so dont nessecarily need a whole system, just something to cover the back door/porch area

My concern with that is the lack of backup recording? The spec says that there is no in-app recording and that it is stored in the memory of the unit itself (correct me if I am wrong?). A smart burglar would simply smash that off the wall and take it away leaving you with no recording evidence.

I agree, this is why I'm after suggestions as its not ideal but I cant see anything better at the moment?

Saw this but not sure if its any good or not?

Luckily the people we are dealing with are not smart, they left the £1000 laptop, tv, sky, ps3, marine tank equipment (£1750 LEDs etc) Other more expensive tools, drills, testers etc. So I wouldnt have thought that a camera would affect them.

I've got 10 cameras monitoring my gym and I got them from Maplins. I have to say the quality is good and very clear on the monitor.

Isn't this more for catching your wife in bed with your brother? (oops)
