Dog slowly dies in hot car after been left approx. 4 hours :(

The video makes me really sad and I can't believe how any dog owner could leave their beloved pet alone in a car for 4 hours, let alone on a hot summers day!! I still don't know why they didn't smash the boot window first? The policeman seemed so casual about it all, even some of the passerbys looked fairly casual. I would have smashed that boot window immediately and pulled the dog out instead of faffing around with the side window. Even so, it's clear to me that the dog was too late to be saved :(. Videos regarding dogs and animals always seem to affect/bother me more.

Dirk Diggler 75 30 June 2015 08:16 PM

That's terrible, the owner should be banned for life from keeping animals ....

LSherratt 30 June 2015 08:20 PM

Search google and you'll see the news articles with the video.

The Dogs B******s 30 June 2015 08:31 PM

Disgusting, the owners should be shot.

Markus 01 July 2015 12:35 PM

Dress the owners up in something warm, pop them in the hot car, see how they like it.

Let me guess, it'll be one of the "we were just popping out shopping and could not leave the dog on their own, they don't like it" stories, which is bollocks, and shows the idiocy of the owners.

Barxy 01 July 2015 12:39 PM

They should be prosecuted

Matteeboy 01 July 2015 12:40 PM

This is particularly terrible as we have a well looked after, lovely dog who has just been handed the cancer death sentence.

To "kill" a dog in such a retarded way is unforgiveable.

Lillyart14 01 July 2015 12:48 PM

No way I'm watching that video... I love dogs. Had two before with my ex several years ago. One was a boxer called Hollie who was 'around 12' years old when we took her in from a rescue home. Poor girl had been beaten for years by previous owners, had cigarette burns and hot poker scars on her back. After a while she got attached to me and would sit next to me for hours watching the TV with me.

Made me happy that she was happy. The owners should be banned for life for this.

Jailed IMO.

LSherratt 01 July 2015 01:30 PM

Totally agree but I bet you they will get off pretty much with a slap on the wrist.

Rusti 01 July 2015 01:33 PM

truly disgusting. I don't think the owners were stupid I think it boils down to selfishness. 'what i am doing is far more important than the welfare of my pet'

ReallyReallyGoodMeat 01 July 2015 02:54 PM

Hold on, could it not have been a genuine mistake?
People have made the same mistake with their own children, tragically.

I'm sure it was a mistake but it doesn't take a genius to realise that you shouldn't leave a dog/baby/child in a car for 4 hours, especially not on a hot summers day. They should have known better and it is an inexcusable mistake to make. People who drive cars KNOW that they get hot like a green house when parked up.

I doubt that they could of missed the dog,it definitely looked like a mastiff to me,i watched the video on my friends FB page as he deals with mastiffs and i have two of my own so personally i felt upset and disgusted.SJ.

Geezer 01 July 2015 04:34 PM

Not sure how old that video is, but the guy in the uniform is obviously wearing gear not condusive to hot weather, and there is a woman in a puffa jacket, so I doubt they just abandoned it whilst popping off to Ikea in their shorts and Hawaiian shirts...... I would imagine they didn't think it would get that hot. Still daft as it can hot in a car in winter, but not as malicious as people are making out.

I doubt they will do it again.

b3nmw 01 July 2015 05:35 PM

Put the owners in a big **** oven, ***** makes me sick

stipete75 01 July 2015 07:34 PM

Not a video I would want to watch tbh, to upsetting! I would find watching a beheading video easier.

jameswrx 01 July 2015 08:17 PM

Also looks like it was in Poland or somewhere. Just appears to have been dug up by the tabloids as they couldn't find an example in the UK for the usual summer 'dog dies in car' headline

It's a fooking dog! I've seen both, and a beheading is a lot worse, believe me!

At the CLA Game Fair each year they patrol the car parks armed with club hammers. Car windows are smashed if any dogs are left in them and owners are prosecuted.

Disagree, seen quite a few myself.
Animal cruelty on the other hand I stay very very clear of.

Sad really that human suffering ranks lower than a dogs

Hitler was very fond of his dog, Jews gays and gypsies - not so much

tell you what

if we had little puppy staffs, rotties and GSD drowning by the boatload in the Mediterranean

or Border Collies dropping from the undercarriage of aeroplane's as they approach Heathrow

we would have a scoobynet march on parliament - demanding action

"ragheads" - not so much

Why break a car window with a club hammer?...talk about doing it the hard way. :cuckoo: (Note the shape of the emergency hammer fitted in buses/trains).

Broken bit of ceramic from a spark plug works every time with a 100th of the force and effort (and a good trick for scaring the crap out of apprentices when they walk past a scrap car :norty: ).

Thought it was common knowledge that blunt instruments make very poor tools for breaking tempered glass, obviously not. :lol1:

First world problems; Its quite easy and avoidable to prevent a dog dying in a car. Fixing the world's migration problems....yeah that's a doddle to fix...can can we just send them all round to your place to live?
