Recommend me a silicone turbo inlet
I'm after a silicone turbo inlet for 05 wrx for when I get it remapped.
What's a decent one that doesn't cost the earth. Looking to spend about 60 if that's enough! |
What mods have you got?
|
Not enough money for a proper one, cheapest is around £160 ish then upto £200+
Unless you get a second hand one |
Will be wrx ppp with full decat
Vf35 Hawk blue injectors K and n filter No 7 ngk plugs. And maybe 3 port boost. |
I agree with busta, pay cheap pay twice.
The OE pipe is good for 400bhp, so why bother but if you have to go for quality straight away to get the best results, just like tyres. |
I replaced mine due to a split developing in the oem one, bit of a pain to do, took me a couple of hours, unless you want to remove the inlet manifold, the 3 I narrowed it down to where Perrin, Samco, and Mishimoto, went with the Perrin one myself but expect to pay around £200 for a decent one.

Wow.
They are expensive. Reason for getting one was that I thought my oe one might not withstand another turbo change. I'm leaving car with mechanic and mapper for 2 days and didn't want any problems to arise as it's quite a distance from me. But 200 pound I might risk it. |

What's on your car now td04? Have you checked the diameters? Your old pipe may not fit.
Haven't checked diameters. It's a vf35 of an sti. Are they the same as td04? |

Td04 and 35 are same inlet.
Scoobyworx has them cheapest at about £160-£170 but depends if has in stock. Check his site |
Another vote for perrin

Viper Performance ones are a bit cheaper, but the quality is excellent. Have one on mine and no probs.:thumb:
