Any F07 / F10 / F11 owners here?

If so; Just wondering what MPG you get in various driving condition depedning on what engine, in particular the N57. (not M57)

I've gone from a F07 530d GT to a F07 535d GT and getting some interesting results with the fuel economy (if you are into this sort of thing ;) ).

The latter (535d) is better on fuel in stop/go/fast/slow rush-hour motorway. Whilst the former (530d) is better at constant cruise! :wonder: :cuckoo:

Both hate crosswinds - the F07 isn't aerodynamic, although thats not surprising given its size, I need to use stepladders to clean the roof

so:
530d 80mph constant motorway 40mpg (37-38mpg in crosswinds), Rush hour motorway + M25 car park: 33mpg

535d 80mph constant motorway 36mpg (33-34mpg in crosswinds), Rush hour motorway + M25 car park: 36mpg!!!

Local city use both give about 30-33mpg

I was expecting them to be about the same at constant speeds with the 535d to be worse in local and slow/fast motorway traffic when its appearing to be the reverse. Not sure if wheels/tyres are having a influence on motorway mpg as the 535d has 19" wheels opposed to the 530d with its 20" (both on run-flats). Both cars have done about the same mileage - 70k miles (just racked up another 3K miles now in the 535d last month ) BTW I'm doing 80mph in France, where its legal to do so (130kph). :p

Tempted to try and decoke the inlet manifold and ports on the 535d now as its bound to be sooted up by now which cannot help. Seeing some stuff on the 'net about blasting it with crushed walnut shells, sounds like madness - so I may try it LOL.
