Rear Diffusers, opinions.
I have a 2001 bugeye and l'm considering whether to fit a rear diffuser on it. I would like opinions from those of you have fitted one and whether its beneficial and also if its a one or two piece diffuser you had fitted. Thanks in advance for any replies.https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/thumb.gif

Unless the underside of your car is flat and the diffuser has been tested in a wind-tunnel, attached to your car, I can't see how it can have much, if any effect. I await to be corrected though.

Probably wont see any real benefit unless you are driving at track speeds.
However if you like the look of them, get one :) |
I can drive upside down In a tunnel now with mine...

I have a blob and I was recently at scooby clinic getting my car mapped and afew other things done. I seen another blob there, think it was a customers. Which had a rear difuser.
Can't really say I'm bothered if it helps the car go any faster or not but I did really like the look of it, so will probably be getting one myself soon. It also had some really nice rear lights on, wish I had taken a photo now because I can't seem to find them on eBay or google images :-( |
Hi there
As above most of the diffusers are for look not for functions, they can give you better performance, but you will need to have flat floor if you want most from any diffuser But hawkeye Spec C has come with rear diffuser(which still can be bought easy) which has helped with high speed stabiliity Here is test done by Best Motoring International Usually all diffusers start to work when car reach defined speed Hope this helps Thanks,Jura |
