But the post was about asylum seekers!

ditchmyster 12 May 2015 07:00 AM

No, we should however be doing more to make sure they don't need to seek asylum in the first place as it will be cheaper in the long run, even if that involves a military presence in their home country.

As above we're struggling to cater for those already in the UK without adding further to the problem.

RA Dunk 12 May 2015 07:09 AM

Nope, enough's enough. We can't keep taking in......

Chip 12 May 2015 07:22 AM

No

f1_fan 12 May 2015 07:41 AM

Yes, we should be prepared to take any from Libya as we are the reason they are seeking asylum. When I say we I don't mean me as I didn't vote for the fame seeking warmongering c**t in No. 10. Maybe they should all go and live with him and the saps who voted for him! :thumb:

dpb 12 May 2015 08:00 AM

To say no is Racist. That's what we've been told for the last 10-15 years.

Cameron has a chance to prove he can stand up to Brussels, and say No!

Bollocks to the lefties and their "Heal the world" thinking. And while we're saying no, send some of them back who's already got in.

By your rule of thumb, not only should the big bad British take Libyan Asylum seekers, so should the other countries enforcing UNSC Resolution 1973 -

Belgium
Bulgaria
Canada
Denmark
France
Greece
Italy
Netherlands
Norway
Romania
Spain
Turkey
USA

But yet again, lets not the facts get in the way of one of your ****ty posts :thumb:

Ian 12 May 2015 05:22 PM

are they met to seek asylum at the first country they come to out of there own?, if so, why travel all over the place to come here? shouldn't this be the real question, that needs to be fixed, so they don't go around half the world?

dpb 12 May 2015 05:33 PM

I think the Italians are a bit cheesed off with that one

alcazar 12 May 2015 08:16 PM

Aye, lets have 'em all.

they can join the Romanians selling nicked scrap and begging on the streets...there's loads here doing just that.

Norman Dog 12 May 2015 08:49 PM

Yes! Let's have some more!

Martin2005 12 May 2015 09:04 PM

Anyone reading this thread would assume that we already take in more than our share of asylum seekers...we don't, FACT

The UK takes on the 6th most amount of Asylum seekers out of 28 EU Member states. What exactly do you think is 'our fair share'? Let's take Portugal for instance, they took in a grand total of 440, same goes for Croatia.
