Please help, FORESTER Turbo S

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to look at and read my thread. ive been offerd a nice 2001 Forester Turbo S for pretty cheap, its chock full of sti parts and upgraded to about 300bhp, comes with tons of reciepts and MOT, but it also come with one issue, the linkage for second gear is broken, i dont really know that much about these and im hoping you guys can help. What am i looking at here, whats it gonna cost, can i do it myself? and if not where can do it?http://img.swapz.co.uk/swapz/2015-05...d7996cac_1.jpg

If it is a heavily modified engine, then there is a good chance it has stripped 2nd gear and it will be a gearbox overhaul.
Any of the Subaru specialists ( API, Scoobyclinic etc ) might give you a better idea of whats wrong with it and costing.

Its been remapped and described as having "Lots of STI parts". ive asked the owner to go into more detail about the mods. It also has full service history and what seems like quite low milage to me, 82,000.http://img.swapz.co.uk/swapz/2015-05...d50efb73_1.jpg
