Apple TV, Chromecast, or Amazon FireTV

I know this may have been asked many times, but which is the best in your opinion?

I'd only be using it for Netflix and Youtube

I use chromecast and think its brilliant, works with my iPad for YouTube on Sony Tv

The Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV can be used standalone with a remote, whereas the Chromecast requires another device to cast/control from. Roku is another one to consider and comes with a remote.

I love my Chromecast but don't use it a huge amount. If I were to buy one now it would be the Fire TV Stick.

If you have Apple products get the Apple TV, it's at its best in an Apple household. Pretty much anything will work well for your requirements, most new'ish TV's have it built in, mine does and although it's not as good as the Apple TV it does the job.

doesn't chromcast rely on your iPad though its actually doesn't have anything on it does it... well mine doesn't i thought ti was ****...

Apple TV and Fire TV are things that actually work on there own, so bare that in Mind Moley...

Roku stick - simplest and cheapest way to add smarts to a dumb TV.

Who doesn't have a smart phone? It accepts a cast link from your phone or tablet and then streams direct from sorce.

It's a nice feature, but there's plenty in here going mental about the Apple Watch needing an iPhone for some features, this is no different.
