Mayweather v Pacman tonight

I really hope Manny manages to deck this egotistical **** tonight, Floyd is coming across a little scared to me so I hope that effects his performance tonight and Manny capitalizes on that and decks him likewise I hope he doesn't run in and get ko himself.

I've got Manny to win in the third round by ko.

Any predictions ?

urban 02 May 2015 04:29 PM

I've Manny to win in the 4th

AndyBaker 02 May 2015 04:36 PM

I too hope Manny puts this guy to rest but he's got one hell of a pedigree and i think it will go two rounds or to the end

Scrappy9 02 May 2015 04:36 PM

Mayweather points for me

i fear this is how it will go as well but will make for a boring fight so i hope not.

Vodkaa 02 May 2015 06:46 PM

I really hope it doesn't go the distance because I really feel the judges will be bias towards Mayweather and the money he brings in.

Place a few bets regardless

1) Not to go the distance

2) ko in third round

So hopefully I make a little bit profit from this.

silver-sub 02 May 2015 06:58 PM

Hope Manny wins, especially after Floyd saying he's better than Ali!

Felix. 02 May 2015 07:09 PM

as ever with hyped events like this

It will be a drab spectacle which will go to a narrow points win for one of them with neither really being a 'winner' as such.

RS_Matt 02 May 2015 07:13 PM

Floyd with a controversial points decision.

Funny you mention this, I seen a video of this referee the last time he managed a Mayweather fight and it was a bit controversial!

I'd like to watch this but am umming and ahhing whether or not to pay Sky's extortionate price for the privilege.

Christ, I already give them 70 sovs a bloody month, as it bloody stands!

the shreksta 02 May 2015 08:45 PM

Anybody recommend a good bet to place and where to do it online? I'm not a betting man as such so limited in betting knowledge

Turbohot 02 May 2015 08:57 PM

After reading all this hoo-haa about this fight, I thought of paying for it on my Sky and recording it for my son, as he's flying back from Thailand, and won't be able to catch it. But when I saw the price , I've decided against it. What if he says- "Mummy, I never asked you to record it for me, and I'm not giving you the 20-25 quid for what I already now know the result of." So, he'll have to suffice with the highlights at his own place, after he arrives. That's if he wants.

joz8968 02 May 2015 09:03 PM

You don't get charged if you don't actually watch it (i.e. in your case, by not playing the recording).

So you can still do that, leave it in the planner and see if he wants to watch it when he gets back.

If he doesn't, then just delete it for no charge.

Funnily enough, my work colleague is out in Thailand too, on hol. (back on Tue or Wed). I think he said he's gonna try and catch the fight in a pub, if he can.

Are you sure, Joz?

I'm asking because I think it's at 4am in the morning. I can book it via my remote control, and click the red button 'record' sign on it; in order to record it, can't I? But are you 100% certain that I won't get charged, if no one watches it?

Because if that's the sure thing, then I shall record it. :)

I know! 20 quid is the food for my cats for a fortnight.

joz8968 02 May 2015 09:12 PM

Yep, 100%.

When it's recording/recorded, "lock" it using the red button... That way, you can't accidentally click on it to watch it, as it'll prompt you for your 4-digit PIN first (assuming you've set one up for purchases).

Oh, cool! We've purchased fights and other sports etc. before, so I do have that PIN thing. I didn't know about that 'lock' thing. Thank you very much! :)

joz8968 02 May 2015 09:21 PM

Go to the recording in your planner, highlight it, press left or right once... You'll now see "Lock" preceded by a red dot. Click the red button... A padlock icon will appear next to the program.

When you go to watch it by clicking Enter or Play, it will first ask for said PIN - hence impossible to accidentally start watching it and invoke the charge.

For peace of mind, why not first 'practice it' lol on any other random recording you may already have in your planner.....

Wow, ok! I shall certainly practice it first. :thumb:

Many thanks, Joz! :)

Tip: If you do record it, then I'd change your 'Disk Space Management' to 'Manual', as otherwise, if the planner becomes full, the Sky+ box might just choose that recording to delete to free up space!

Do you know how to do that?... May I be of further assistance, Madam?

:D

Do I know how to do that? Of course, not! :lol1:

My kids laugh at me for knowing so little about these techy things. The daughter dear showed me about a year ago, how to fast forward at more than 1X6 speed. I really am clueless with things like that.

So, basically, I'll just have to work it out, as long as I don't fvvk up my Sky.

joz8968 02 May 2015 09:57 PM

Press 'Services' button... Down button twice to get to 'Disk Space Management'... Left or right button till it gets to 'MANUAL'... Green button to save.

Ok. I'll sit with my iPad to read your instructions when I do all that, so that I don't fvvk it up big stylee.

You am a star, Joz.

Hoping Pacman will knock The Money out with the shear number of punches thrown at him!

In other news, Jon Jones has been stripped of his UFC light heavyweight title!
