Bye Bye Carcraft

Carcraft has gone at last. Bunch of crooks should have been shut down years ago. Shame for all those with warranties etc and the 500 staff who'll lose their jobs.

Aren't they part of `webuyanycar`?

I remember my dad getting a car through them years ago and how much money we lost through it. Bunch of b*stards deserve to go down. Shame about the workers obviously.

I turned down an IT role with them 11 years ago, as I could not see how their business model was achievable then.
Overpriced stock, not serviced properly, cheap bodge repairs done on them.
I guess all the horror stories will be coming out about them.

Another one bites the dust. They lasted a fair while....where many other car supermarkets came and went.

Thought they had been reincarnated 50 times!!

Not sure about that...probably wrong as usual!

I tried dealing with them once, after looking at their figures I would have ended up getting nothing for my trade in and would have ended up paying enough to buy the car I wanted brand new:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Robbing barstewards, like others have said though, you've got to feel for the employees.

Yep a fair while.

My mate bought a Mk2 Escort Mexico from them about 28 yrs ago......
Front end was full of bog.....front wheels splayed out
Obviously did not change there practices from then.

I believe two brothers sold it not to long ago for about 58 million.
Knew when to get out ...!!!

I bought my Scooby from them, it was advertised elsewhere for £14000, when I turned up they told me the car was 20 miles away in Liverpool. I thought I'd travelled this far I may as well go a bit further. Walked in to the showroom and it was up for £18000, they tried so hard to get £18000 out of me😀 but argued until I finally paid £14000. They're just out to rip people off and some fall for it.

Why is it a shame about the workers? They are what make carcraft so bad!

If they'd done their jobs properly in the first place they wouldn't have the reputation they have/had and wouldn't be in the position they're in now.

I believe part of the problem WAS the workers.

I went there once with my wife as they had a large collection of family type vehicles. Everything was overpriced and the salesmen harassed us the whole time we were there. They done the whole manager thing, Mr manager even turned up and asked if there is anything that took our fancy became aggressive type thing. They actually had something that we were interested in that was not yet prepped however they would not let us see it so i walked away.
