Brand new 2015 STI owner in Hong Kong

Here we have it :) I paid the deposit and traded in luxury for raw driving. I took a leap of faith and have come back to Subaru :)

A lot thinking of which one to get, i really like the hawkeye but finding a good one in Hong Kong is time consuming and most likely going to be fruitless, and so the latest non-impreza :lol1: it had to be :norty::norty:

Will update with more pictures later on :)

This. As much as I love Imprezas, and don't get me wrong, yours looks superb in white! I'd walk past it to have a closer look at that Hachiroku in the background.

Which dealership did you use?

thenewgalaxy 30 April 2015 11:59 PM

Lovely!

So is this a 2.5 engine or a 2.0?

Mew 01 May 2015 03:04 AM

yup the 86 comes with tofu stickers and all :)

I bought from the subaru dealer here in hk of which there is only 1 shop in kowloon bay, price wise its more expensive than in uk (where i am from) so in hong kong dollars its 470,000 hkd which includes the hk car registration taxes (they really mean it when they tax cars). So thats roughly 60k usd or 40k gbp......

I was wondering if it was a HKDM (?) car or a JDM import :)

£40,000 for a standard STi, wow!

Regards,

Subaru Collector 555.

I dont think there is a "HKDM" car as hong kong is just 1 city.... so they wouldnt specifically make a model for just here, so i assumed this is the same car as from jap and also same as what you would get in uk.

Regards the tax....... tell me about it......

Hong Kong gets pretty much the same one as what we get in Singapore.....which is the UK but with the speedo reading in km/h as opposed to mph.

Japanese domestic models still get the EJ20, so it's different from what the rest of the world gets. :)

Stunning car by the way Mew! :thumb:

Looks like the corner of Wang Kee and Wang Chin St (probably only amusing if you're English).
