Anyone know any good sites/contacts that do good discounts off reasonable Apine headunits like:
7969R 7878R Dont want to pay £800 retail for these units! Thanks in advance |
Try www.mcs-direct.co.uk
7969r £554 Have a look in the back of Max Power of Fast Car, there are normally pleanty of adverts. Daz |

Thanks
They should be cheaper as they have just been replaced by the new Alpine units - the new equivalent is £800 (but is only $850 in the States compared to the 7969R which was $1100 when it came out in the States - me thinks were getting ripped off again!) |

New high-end is 7998R, retail is £800 but I reckon it will settle around £550ish again mail order once it's been out a month or two. All the bass-engine pro features of the 7878, CD/CDRW, MP3, FantomFace XL, optical output, i-Personalise, etc.
No built-in amps on this one though (like the 7969) pre-out only. |
7998 looks like a tasty bit of kit, might have to get me one of those... anyone bought one yet??
|
Got one and it is nothing short of sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
|
I want one too! :(

How does the unit 'expand' - have not seen one in the flesh - just wondered as I have units positioned in the din unit above (cant be bothered repositioning everything!) and was wondering if the effective 1.5 din unit could possibly interfere with anything around (i.e above) it as it expands out???
Seems a bargain as its only £10 dearer than the 7969 - at £540n on letsbuycaraudio.... - the only strange point is that the 7969 came out at $1100 dollars a while back whereas the new unit is $850 in the States (both these units were £800 in the UK) - Are we being totally ripped of here - how does this unit compare to the 7969?? |
Feel free to make me an offer for my 7969 or even the 7939 you were looking at before!
