Need some help the fag lighter has stopped working so I tested it and there's no power getting to it, my question is is there a in line fuse on it and how do you get to it ? I have checked the fuses under the bonnet all ok is there any inside the car 1999 classic thanks

Do you have a wee pull down tray with a keypad on it as there is a fuse box behind that

Some of them have inline fuses. As to how to get it out, sorry, can't help.

Thank guy's found the fuses underneath thes steering wheel and checked them all ok so it must be a in line one so trim off by the looks of it any idea's how the trim comes off?

ossett2k2 25 April 2015 11:12 AM

On mine, pull out the cup holder and there are 2 screws holding the top of the plastic trim, remove bottom of rubber gear gaitor,2 screws. Behind plastic trim 4 screws holding double din stereo in,pull that out and you can get to cig lighter. The wire is only a short journey to the fuse box so will be easy to follow, doubt there is an in line fuse tho? Check power to the wire and check continuity from air to fuse box.

On the classic there is a fuseable link on the lighter fitting itself.

johned 26 April 2015 02:17 PM

Did you sort it?.

farmerwrx 27 April 2015 01:33 PM

yes sorted it yesterday it was the small piece of wire at the back of the lighter unit, i soldered a new piece of wire on and it works now. no in line fuse and you don't need to take the 2 screws out by the cup holder just put a thin flat blade screw driver between the trim and it pops out. anyway thanks for all the help guys :thumb:
