Driveshaft removal/install

Looking to change driveshaft on blobeye sti soon, if I unbolt the shock from the hub and unbolt abs sensor and brake hose will this give me enough room to get the outer joint out of the hub or would I need to pop the ball joint to give me more room.? Cheers

No need to remove the ball joint will come out by leaning forward

Cheers for that, you don't know if it's worth draining the gear oil aswell before removing as my driveshaft has got male ends on both ends, i.e no roll pin.

That I couldn't answer mate sorry I have a bug I don't need to drain anything to take my shafts out I'm sure a blob owner will give you an answer

No need to drain any oil, but make sure all 4 wheels can move freely because you need to turn the driveshaft to locate the pin

Hi, my driveshafts are the later ones without the pin, I know the ones with the pin will not leak fluid when removed but not sure about these later driveshafts, I'll probably drain to be on safe side.
