This is excellent as its where I go no extra cost at all now great stuff three

Hate being raped on phone charges when I'm away

It's a great deal. I still feel screwed on O2, not as bad as it was mind you.

I've been on Three for a couple of years and went with them due to no additional charges for 4G. Their "Feel at Home" service puts it above all the other operators, especially as my unlimted date can be used in all the participating countries.

Yes but their sim only plans are expensive comapraed to Virgin for example. I have the 1 month rolling contract with Virgin's VIP deal and get unlimited everything for £16.50 a month. The same deal on 3 is £30 a month so you are paying for the 4g and abroad coverage whether you use it or not.

i used to pay 5 quid or something a day for internet when in spain this year i won't which is great, never really used the iPhone abroad for that exact fact being bummed for charges...

good stuff

O2 is 1.99 for a day of data, I use my phone normally and haven't been limited. It seems like a bargain compared to £4.00 a meg which was a plain and simple rip off. My travel has reduced dramatically so I'm not too fussed right now, but that could change in which case I'll be leaving o2.

I'm paying £12.90/m for unlimited data, 200mins and 5000 text. I hardly ever use up all my minutes or text. My wife managed to wangle unlimited data (3G), unlimited text and 1200 minutes for a £5 with Virgin!

That's good going, 1200 mins would be enough for me so £5 a month would do.

If 3 were cheaper i'd consider changing over to them.

I have noticed they are allowing their bundles to be used in the USA, has anyone had any good experience of using them over there as I would just buy a £15 pay as you go sim instead of the Ulysses sim.

Well my wife has been on a Virgin contract for years since her first phone and last year I told her to change over to Three since the Virgin one was pretty rubbish for what she was paying. She called up customer services to get a PAC code and they gave her the current deal. If you've been with virgin for sometime, maybe you could try the same tactic, ask for a PAC code and say you've seen a tariff for cheaper that's more inline with your needs. PAC codes are valid for 30 days so if you don't change you still continue with your current tariff, see what they come back with, there's nothing to lose.

Only been with them a couple of years, I tried not so long ago to get it cheaper and they just gave me my PAC code so stayed with them. I'm happy enough for the cost but will try again once i've been with them longer to see if I can get it cheaper unless 3 have any deals come up in the mean time.

In fact just seen 3 do a payg sim for £15 with unlimited data so will get one of those for holidays.

I am with Virgin vip deal, which i managed to get reduced payments of £11/month for unlimited everything. I had multiple phones in the family so had a little leverage over the tariff. It wasn't long ago i was paying £40 per phone contract.

Just use TuGo and get world wide free coverage, you just need wifi and you are sorted :D

Having just left 3 as I investigated the free calls while in Spain I discovered it's only to UK numbers so if you wanted to call a restaurant to book a meal you would be charged as it's not included I the minutes. ..on the back of that I changed to EE and took out a contract including g the 0800 and EU calls and texts which ARE included in my minutes.

Just check 3 out it isn't as good as it seems...my new contact is 3 pound more a month I left 3 after many years with them.

Littleted 18 April 2015 07:56 PM

i only use net and ring home...

Norman Dog 23 April 2015 07:28 PM

I've been with 3 for a few years on and off. Get a full 4G signal from my house.

Much better than Vodafone, EE and 02, round here anyway. :)
