In praise of Sainsburys.
Not as dear as you might think.
Own brands are top quality. (oven chips and instant mash) |
OK, thanks for sharing.
I mean, the praise, if not the oven chips and instant mash. :D |
How lazy can you get

However, homemade mash, made with milk, butter, a little salt and liberally laced with cracked black pepper, rocks my world! *yum yum* Let's eat!! |
you should experiment with some mayo in your mash or a sprinkling of paprika, makes for a nice change from the norm and still tidy
|
I only like mayo in chicken fillet burgers. Not into it, otherwise.
|
Do they still make "Smash" ? reminds me of mid 70's camping holidays, my sister and I would try and eat those pellets raw lol

Cadbury Smash tastes of day-old worn socks. Possesses an earthy, iron-y 'taste'. Rank as. *boak*

Agree re the homemade mash though, except double cream instead of milk and some saffron to make the perfect topping to a fish pie. |
Another vote for double cream and a table spoon of mayonaise and for the hardcore a good old fashioned squirt of this

Only an oaf sniggers at fish pie! A great one needs salmon, cod, smoked haddock and some big prawns, topped with the aforementioned creamy saffron mash. Food of the Gods on a winter's day! :) |
