Paint fade on bumpers

HI all

Im currently looking for a bug or blobeye Scooby and saw one which was pretty decent but the front and rear bumpers were a slightly different shade to the car. The car was a bugeye (dark blue) I thought it obviously could have been because it has been in an accident and the bumpers have been replaced but could it be that they have faded over the years?
The car drove well and had good service history.

Any replies or buying advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

P.s. I am new to scoobys and am currently in the market for one.

Only solid colours fade
There is always a slight difference in colour between plastic panels and metal panels, so its probably fine.
If it stands out loads then they may have just been repainted for whatever reason.

check the front chassis rails and lift any boot carpet, check it drives straight etc, then if you really want that one buy it and get the paint addressed

Chances they have just been painted it's rare to find a car that age that won't have had minor cosmetic repairs. Ideally 02c needs blending so your not getting a good edge to edge colour match, add into it the difference in plastics and metals and it can through it out further.

The car he's looking at is not 02c, he said dark blue. Same applies though re blending

Thanks for the replies people, much appreciated. I understand That at that age it is common to have had minor cosmetics. I forgot to mention 1 of the front wings had some damage as it was slightly flaired out and didn't sit flush with the door. The guy said it had been jacked up incorrectly at some point but it seemed to be a slightly different colour aswell, the same as the bumpers. It was strange because I couldn't see any other evidence of any accident damage around or under the car it was literally just the difference in colour, it drove really straight and quiet.
Something told me to stay away anyway so the hunt goes on.
