Suspension bushes

Where is the best place to buy suspension bushes?

I've been told my rear axle beam bushes and the front and rear anti roll bar bushes are getting worn out.

How urgent would you say these are to replace?

Depends how worn they are... a bit worn and they may last another five years. A lot worn and they may fail at any point... They may fail an MOT if the tester thinks they are unsafe.

When you replace if you fit polybushes make sure to fit decent ones like poweflex or super pro. Don't go for cheaper ones on ebay as they fail in some nasty and dangerous ways.

Another vote for super pro. Personally, I would advise you do what did.
Replace front and rear anti roll bar bushes and drop links. Probably just over £100 from Alyn at AS Performance. But they will transform the feel of the car when cornering.

Worth every penny.

As with anything made of rubber, it will always perish over time. If the mechanic thinks they are on their way out or they look a bit worn, get them replaced. :thumb:

OK cheers guys, just over £100 isn't too bad - how much would a mechanic charge to fit them roughly would you say?

Can all be done yourself mate very easily. I reckon now more than 2 hours. The front arb bushes are the hardest to replace. Some say you have to remove the cross member to gain access but my mechanic changed them in situ. I did the rest myself.

Hehe, there is no way I could do it! I struggled when I fitted a gasket to my recirc DV !! I really should stick to making coffee for real men who work on cars!
