My99 ECULABS
I see eculabs is now another option for mapping late classics instead of ecutek.
Anybody used it or had their car mapped via that software ..?? |

Reason I'm asking is I have a pal who will be ready for mapping in the coming weeks.
My initial thought for him was ecutek but after reading a bit on eculabs I thought I'd see what people thought. |

My initial thought for him was ecutek but after reading a bit on eculabs I thought I'd see what people thought. The alatek and syvecs are out of my price range for the features I want, so left me with ecutek and eculabs. Ecutek don't do mafless function and the problematic maf problems when heading for reasonable power. So found option for eculabs, seems to have all the functions of esl with simlar price bracket, so no brainier really. But I also would like to hear people's opinions of this as it's not really talked about so I'm presuming it's a newish chip/software. |
I gone Apexi as I got a very close friend that does it , so I haven't got to pay for tweeks and I can change it really simple , he won't buy the French ecu labs software
I have had a few glitches tho in my ecu , my vf28 went tits up so I gone back to my prodrive sp ecu and td04 for now |
You can buy the software and a ecu ready to go if your that way inclined
Mocom racing in Cambridge is well known for offering this |
No problem ! Don't worry if you can't get hold of him
Check YouTube for a couple of his videos |

Mocom racing in Cambridge is well known for offering this They offer a service where you send your ecu to them and they'll upload the eculabs software and then send it back. Think its around £300. You can then map it yourself or have your chosen mapper do it. I was just interested to see if anyone was using it and if any of the known mappers within the Subaru world use it ?? |
Well it's a cb postcode I think so that's close enough !
I think someone up north does it too , there is a slave file pusher in huntingdon doing it I think |

I'm way off then lol
|
Andrew Carr does it afaik.
|
I'd probably find a second hand alcatek and have that mapped
|
just send it direct to france, good exchange rate. Mine was back in no time at all. Choose your own mapper the software is just interface to the usual tables with a few small difference for per gear boost etc.
