JDM Hawkeye STI - SOLD

As some of you may know, this is a well known car on here which I bought 3 weeks ago. It's been extremely well looked after and is stunning. Unfortunately, i think i've made a mistake, it's just not the car for me. I'm missing the creature comforts and the daily grind sat in stop start traffic is becoming a pain. As I cant afford to keep a DCT M3 and a JDM STI, this will have to go. If i could afford to keep it as a weekend toy then I would with no questions asked, but I can't, therefore i'm gauging interest on the car. I did buy Prodrive GT1's and full Afterburner exhaust, however tomorrow the rota grids and milltek will be going back on as they're both more desirable and i've sold the GT1's and Afterburner elsewhere. Here's the spec.

55 JDM Hawk STI
350bhp/370lb/ft with printouts
46k miles with all docs/history, etc
2.0 Twin Scroll
Amber illuminated Defi instrumentation with sweep-on-start
Electric folding mirrors
Quicker steering rack
8000rpm redline
Larger profile cams with AVCS
Larger valves
Forged con rods
Nitrated and cross drilled crank
6-speed with DCCD with Auto Mode
Auto intercooler spray
Titanium strut brace
Full Milltek turbo back exhaust with sports cat
Tein Springs
Exedy clutch
AP Cosworth 6 Pot Brakes
Cosworth Panel Filter
Remapped by JGM (A.K.A Simon Roe)
Rota Grids 9.5 with 235/40/18 Vredestein Sessanta
Carbon Fibre front splitter
Rear diffuser
£140 a year tax!

MOT just be done with 0 advisories, March 2016.

Car will be sold still looking like this, minus sideskirt extensions and rear extensions.

Will take some proper sale pics tomorrow once she's had a good polish, the rotas refitted and milltek back on.

Asking price is £12,500 which is what I paid and is bang on the money for this car.

There is nothing untoward whatsoever, the car is fantastic but just not for me for the daily commute. The only issue i found was some power steering noise on a morning, it turned out this was air in the system, having replaced the faulty O ring on the 90 degree pipe and done a full fluid change and refresh, there are no issues and everything is good as gold again.

Many thanks

To be fair mate, i think your right, but i paid £12.5 and i aren't looking to profit off it, just pass it on to another member to enjoy.

If someone else wants to hand me what i paid and enjoy her then that's fine by me :)

I also think morally it would be wrong to have bought it such a short time ago and stick a big markup on it (whilst i think it's worth £13,995 all day long looking around at other examples) i couldn't do it.

Come on, i'm not cheshire performance.... ;)

Would you say the Scooby is more thrilling than the m3 and Amg.

Completely different mate. Yes, it's a weapon and I've no doubt quicker than both by a margin aswell, but it's just different delivery.

The M3 is refined when you want to be, and raw when planted and handles unbelievably well.
The C63 is an animal most of the time but tries to kill you a lot.
The STI is an animal all of the time, raw and bare bones you and car basically.

I want something with poke but comfort and quiet when i want it to be. The DCT box in the M is incredible and best of both worlds.

I found my Scooby quite comfortable to drive, I did come from a e46 and mk3 golf and didn't find the Scooby bad at all for what it was. I miss it now. :(

I'd say it's the Tein springs that are hard and limit suspension travel that's your main problem.
Nice car by the way. Once put back on OEM wheels and springs it needs nothing doing.

It's only 40 mile away mate, off before lunch so should be back for 2.30/3 if you wanted to call round.

Cheers

Cheers mate.

Had the usual plebs offering me £9k. Off their heads.

Price is £12,500 firm and its worth that and more all day long.

Only reason it's not up for more is because i paid £12,500 and i don't want to profit from it on here.

If it goes on trader/pistonheads it'll be up at £13,500.

ZX-TT 27 March 2015 04:48 PM

Absolutely STUNNING car, GLWTS, wish I had the spare cash id be driving home in this now.

I was speaking about CSL's yesterday, i would never in a million years pay £30k + for an e46, regardless of its furry steering wheel which is a huge turn on.

Each to their own though!
